Can anyone comment on the authenticity of 1-800-mail.com program.
They give a sign up of $20 and each mail 5 cents with cash out at @ 120.They send a lot of mail everyday but they do not reply to any question.
Is this a scam ptr? has anyone any idea about this.
Thanks.

Considering the fact that the sign-up bonus alone has that site $744,260.00 in debt, along with the horrendously underpriced/overvalued ads they offer which increases that debt with every single click, I think it's safe to say this is one program you need to stay far, far away from.
Look for sites with payouts in the $5 or $10 range -- they are the ones that are much more likely to actually pay you; programs like 1-800 let you accumulate massive "earnings" but that's all -- you'll never see a penny of it.

I have been researching most of these programs, and have developed quite a big cash reserve, some of which has been redeemed.
At the time of writing,I am waiting for four payments/.
1 200euromail. 2. 150 euromail. 3. 500 pound 500 dollar. 4.oneeuromail.
I will certainly advise if payment is forthcoming.I really think now is the time for real positive action with these decieving, unethical operators. Don't you?

The most positive action any of us can take against junk sites like the 4 you mentioned is simply this: DON'T JOIN THEM!!!

Or just create massive amounts of accounts, but never view any of their emails. :) I'm sure that they could use some server clogging.

Well,I think all has been said with regard this one(1-800-mail)and many others that are doing the rounds. The conclusion is quite clear in my mind.
The "Big Buck Merchants"are playing on good peoples naivity,as quite
obviously the sums don't add up.
Comments have been made stating "well don't subsribe to them" well in my
mind,I am angry at the blatant disregard of ethical trading.
All of these cheats are well aware of the illegal practice being openly flouted, and clearly they have to be closed down!
Because of the emormous problem that currently exists,I do feel that an
official complaint should be compiled to the respective department, which
has a responsibility to monitor, and take appropiate action against these
cheats.
Quite clearly,if no one takes the initiative here, the whole thing will get worse,
resulting in more innocent people being swindled.
Has anybody got any contact details, say the equivilant of the U.K. Trading
Standards,or Department of Trade,ect.//
I will be pleased to start the ball rolling in this instance.

Yes, 1-800-mail.com is definitely a scam. I have been with them for quite some time. I reached the $100 payout, and then it was upped to $125. I reached the $125 quite some time ago, and when I went to take my money out, the only option was to purchase a $125 10c email to all!! I was very disturbed by this, and emailed them three times with no response. Ultimately, I've informed Paypal that they are using them as a payment service, and are not paying their customers.
I'm waiting to hear back from Paypal, but I'm sure there will be nothing done about them.
I'm not involved with any PTR programs any more, as they are just a big waste of time!

I think you advising Paypal certainly makes a lot of sense, and in my mind
all the other financial institutions that condone( simply by transacting)
with these abundance of sharp operators, should be notified likewise.
This practice is not a lot short of theft, and I really feel that well scripted
copy to. Paypal, storm pay,and all the other paymasters, should open this can of worms, and expose these racketeers.
You are probably thinking I am furious, well I am!!!
Judging by what I have read,it would appear these people are quite happy to
take their fee from prospective advertisers, but reluctant to pay the people
who in effect keep their business going.
Well, enough is enough, let's get the people in the right places thinking of the
enormity of the problem.
I really think that the likes of Paypal would be reluctant to be associated with
these business cheats. What do you think?

I know I'm late in adding to this thread, but I've only just registered with GPTBoycott, although I've visited many times.
My experience with 1-800-Mail is also not a good one.
Their payout is $125, but the only redemptions they list are the ones that you are eligible for according to your earnings, so you aren't able to see what the next available redemption will be. At my level (and I've been a member for well over a year,) I can only see cashouts for upgraded levels, of which I am not. So to me, it appeared that I would have to upgrade in order to cash out (which I would NOT do!) I emailed them 6 months ago... you'd think that would be sufficient time to respond, lol. Needless to say, I never received one. :(
I'm also a member at a few other scam sites, which I know are scams, but here is what I am doing: I am building up my earnings until I reach a redemption where I can send out an email, then I will send out a link to members to visit places (such as this forum) that will advise them of the programs' SCAM STATUS. I have done this a couple of times so far, and am waiting for my ads to run before I delete my account.
I realize this might seem silly, to keep going with a program that I know is a scam, but I really want to take some sort of action against them, and this is about the only way I can think of. If I can even reach 1 or 2 members from each program and convince them to delete themselves, well, all my clicking will be worth it... Besides, I am fully aware that I will never receive payout from 1-800-Mail.com, so I would like to at least put all my hours & hours of previous clicking to some sort of good use!
Good luck to all in weeding out the NASTIES from your PTR program portfolios!

Yes,it is still apparent that some surf sites are still operating, and depriving honest people out of money,by simply dissappearing without a trace.
The same has applied to P.T.R. sites, and it's about time stringent measures were
put into place,to protect the people who put their trust, and indeed their hard earned cash into these programs.
I recenty worked a program, and it simply dissappeared, owing me money.
This is nothing short of Fraudulent theft.
I surely welcome the day, when we can earn a small regular income in the knowledge that all of these programs are screened, before being allowed to
conduct their business.
However,I will say,in defence of the honest, and credible business owners,a big thankyou, for your professional approach.

 Hi philip 12,
You're right, there are a lot of honest po's out there, and some *wonderful* programs. I belong to a few that I wouldn't give up no matter how big or small the earnings... at least I *know* they will pay, and some of them I really have a lot of fun with and have gotten to know the po's/wm's quite well.
But like you, I also wish that there were more stringent measures in place to prevent these "businesses" (I use this term loosely in the case of the scam sites) from becoming in the first place. Brick-and-mortar businesses need to apply for and get approved for a business licence before opening their doors, and yet "anyone" who wishes to start a PTR program can just do so. And yes, I believe too that not paying members is theft - when money is coming in for advertising, yet no money is going out to pay members for what they've earned, that's blatant fraud.
There are though, a few po's who are *so* honest and upstanding, that they pay members out-of-pocket if site funds aren't readily available, which is above & beyond (I will mention here Martin & Katherine Rice, formerly of DownHomeFolks & OurSafeHarbor, and currently still of OurHarborLights - excellent examples of what we wish all wm's were like!), or who will ensure that all members will be paid, even in the event that they have to close for whatever reason. THAT is good business! :D
Since there's no real 'regulating,' thank goodness for forums like gptboycott, where we can all post our experiences -good or bad- so we can all help each other out...
All the best,
~Corina~

I can't understand why these guys are still operating. They are blatantly breaking Paypal's terms and conditions by running a program with more than one affiliate level, never mind the fact that they are using them to scam people!
I've heard of Paypal closing accounts for much less, so why haven't they closed the account of this thieving scam site?
