How does e-gold work?

I opened up an account with e-gold to purchase advertising from paid email companies but i dont even know what it is.. I cant figure it out im lost.. I mean how do i add money to it.. I cant add a bank account or credit card.. How is it that people use this to make payments..?? I mean how do u start off.. it says you have to have someone send u $$... Well cant i add money...Can any one who has one of these acounts explain to me i really wanted to use it but it seems to complicated..

After being in the e-gold website.. It made paypal look so easy compared 2 it... I LOVE PAYPAL... k bye

Don't feel like the Lone Arranger, Ravenn, I opened an e-gold account and had to change a password (or something) each time I tried to get in it. I finally got so disgusted with the various glitches - I gave up and haven't used it since. PayPal seems so much easier to deal with.

I think you have to go to a special site and buy e-gold with a credit card, or whatever and they will send the money to your e-gold account. Personally i like paypal better.
