Was wondering if there had been some major renovations going on. Can't say exactly what, usually only get a chance to pop in 2/3 times a month to catch up on the latest happenings but my last few visits I've gotten the distinct impression there are chunks of the forum missing or edited out :\

With the visit earlier this month it was just a sense that something was missing, call it woman's intuition ;)
Today I was trying to track down something specific and came here because one of the people who I knew would be right in the middle of it stirring things up had taken to posting at this forum. When I went to look for their recent posts I couldn't find any after dec/04 and I'm 99% sure that's not right since I definitely remember seeing a lot of the garbage from gpf being dragged over here earlier this year and this person was right in the middle of that situation as well.

yes, they are banned (wise decision on gptboycott's part imho) but I'm certain it happened after they were banned at gpf which only happened earlier this month. Being banned wouldn't get your posts deleted though unless they were abusive, would it?
