Are discussions about Pinecone Research allowed in the GPT Boycott forums? It seems certain discussions about Pinecone are banned on many other message boards, such as where their rarely seen signup banner is being currently displayed. I'd like to sign up with them (as would many) if someone had information about where they were presently advertising.

You can discuss them here. Do you know why they are banned from other forums?

Beats me. They seem bigger than the CIA.
Here are some copied posts from elsewhere about them:
::"Pinecone is a 4-letter-word on ALL the boards - none of them allow posts about pinecone."
::"Does anyone know where I can find a pinecone research banner to sign up???
Thank you in advance.

I've tried signing up for them before and then never ever heard back. I've heard rumors that they are strictly a data mining scheme and don't really do many surveys. I also think they are connected with GroupLotto, which is a major bad news company to ever get involved with. That's one of the few places you see the banner, or at least it was there about 2 years ago when I last tangled with GroupLotto. Juno and Netzero used to push them in spam emails to their members. I seem to remember them being a paid signup over at CrapFiesta back then too. I don't know if the rumors are true or not, but I never got preapproved credit card junk, or "get rich stuffing envelopes" crap in the snailmail until I signed up there. I never got 16 or so telemarketing calls a day until I tried signing up there. I also got signed up for tons of listmail that I never entered my address in to. They just handed out my email address and I had to take my own time to unsubscribe or bounce the mails. They signed me up without even asking.
90% of these lottos and survey companies are huge scams. A lot of these survey companies sell your data, or you end up taking surveys that you could have done with Gozing or Surveysavvy. Only when you do them through these other guys you aren't getting paid. I think they forward you to a Gozing or Surveysavvy survey under their own name and pocket the cash.

I have been a member of Pinecone Research for a couple of years and from my own experience....they are very reliable. I do a few surveys every month. My daughter wanted to join, but they are not accepting any new people at this time.

I'm a member and I get paid right away . Complete a survey and the check is here in a day or so . Sometimes I get 3 surveys a month and there WAS a banner on www.addfreestats.com
Sure wish this one had a referral program .

I came across this site (http://pineconeresearch.netfirms.com) the other day and decided to give it a try. And what do you know it works. I am now a paid member. The instructions given on the website are a pain in the *** but it was well worth it.

They have ads right now on Milesource.com. The banners say that they are looking for 18-24 year olds, but I signed up anyway. :) I agree that they only look for certain demographics at certain times, so even if they don't need me right now, maybe they will later?

You can discuss Pinecone if you are not a member. If you are a member you can only discuss it in gereralities. It is against their TOS to discuss any of the surveys, as well as posting where their banner can be found. They have very strict guidelines as to who may join. They are generally looking for specific segments of society when they add new members. It is very seldom that they add new members because they seem to already have a fairly good cross section of people.

:D I am a member of pineconeresearch and did one survey and received a check quickly... unlike many of the scam ptr programs who either do not pay or take so long I may be receiving social security checks before I ever get paid by them, but there are also a few that pay promptly, like mec-co-op.paidmail, gainmail, peststar, and recently I got a check from z-cash.net.. so some know what they are doing, ans some want to rip you off. Be ware of the scammers.... :baaa:

I used to be a member with Pinecone. I was a member for over a year and made over $50, and then out of nowhere they deleted me.
I tried contacting the lady who runs it and she refused to give me an explanation of why I was deleted.
I think once you make so much money from them, they just decide they don't want you anymore.

Thanks for the link. I went there and did follow the instructions, but it seems weird to me that you have to sign up for an "offer", then send a confirmation of same, then wait to be sent a link to actually sign up. Sign up for an offer? I don't get why we should have to do that if what you want to do is take surveys for Pinecone, any idea? Thanks though, we'll see what happens.:)

I think there is something fishy with signing up for offers and sending the info to a yahoo email address. Wouldn't you think pinecone would have it's own email??
I wouldn't do it

That is definately NOT PineConeResearch! PineCone has it's own website, and it's own eMail addresses.
Someone is just taking advantage of the popularity of PineCone.
Don't do it!

I emailed Pinecone asking if they could check to see if I was already registered as I had never gotten an accept or reject email from them, they said I was but they're not taking newbies right now anyway. If they or anyone ELSE would give me 5 bucks per I'd take it if they came regularly. Beats clicking on emails work a fifth of a cent to make 20 bucks a year or something. geez

I usually get anywhere from 2-6 checks per month from them for $5 each.If I could find a few more survey sites this good I might just quit PTR.
But I'd probably miss it too much anyway.

Hey, you should check out the thread I started called Arlanascorner. On arlanascorner.com there is a drop down menu and click on the "surveys" and you will have so many survey sites to sign up for you will be busy for weeks. Get out a notebook though so you know where you left off. I am getting 3-5 checks a week now. Check it out.

Don't know who or why someone is giving Pinecone a bad rap????
I've been a member for over 2 years. I get anywhere from 2 to 5 surveys a month.
The check is in the mail before i do the survey. Only $5.00 a survey. But they pay like clockwork......... Better than these none paying Get Paid to read programs and yes there are many. I could make a long list.

Hi: :)
My name is Dixie and I recently have a baby. I have no work and I sign with this 2 sites: :(
www.paidwebsurveys.com for $34.99
http://www.opinion-cash.com for 24.95
Let me tell you that sites don’t work because they give you a list of link to sites that they say will paid you for your opinion.
I will tell you the sites that really work and I receive a check or pay by paypal:
SurveySavvy: :)
This site pays by check you request after a survey. I receive 2 checks for $3, 1 for $5, 3 for $15 (1 of the surveys was about Gatorade)
Go to http://www.surveysavvy.com/?id= and click on 'Join'. If my personal referral link above does not take you to the SurveySavvy web site when you click on it, simply copy and paste it into the address window of your browser. For future reference, my referral e-mail address is: dixietai@comcast.net
InboxDollars: :)
This site paid by check when you reach $30.00. I just sign with AOL that was $20.00 and other offers. I receive 2 checks in 3 weeks from request. http://www.inboxdollars.com/?r=
Ciao: :\
I request a payment from this site and still waiting:
http://www.ciao-surveys.us/reg.php?FriendId=
About Stock Pro :)
This site just work one time only. You need a paypal account so they could pay you. I receive one in Nov. 5 for $19.50:
http://www.aboutstock.com/pro_join.html
This sites really pays to click and refer your friends:
Misty and Sam Cash: :D
Pays $10.00, paid me 3 times by paypal really quick:
http://www.mistyandsamscash.com/pages/index.php?refid=
Heavenly Email :D
Pays only $5.00, paid me just 2 times by paypal:
http://www.HeavenlyEmail.com/pages/index.php?refid=
Peststarmail :)
The payout is just $1.00 but is easy to reach, pays by paypal too. It paid me 6 times:
http://www.peststarmail.com/pages/index.php?refid=
I just tells you the sites that really paid me because the other ones I still waiting for them to pays me.

I didn't know Pinecone Research wsn't taking new members? But i will say, if they ever do and any of you see this. Ya better jump on the band wagon. In the last 2 months i have recieved 7 five dollar checks for simple surveys. I would say, like maybe max time to do one 10 minutes. Pretty good hourly wage wouldn;t you say. I do alot of clicking to reach $5 at GPTR programs.lol.

I have never sent an email for pinecone reasearch through a Yahoo address, nor have I ever had to sign up for an offer- I think you might not be in the right site or maybe discussing the right site.

I love Pinecone and have been a member for well over a year now. Depending on your demographics, you can get a significant number of surveys and product trials. Obviously I can't go into specifics without violating the TOS, but if you see the banner, I would suggest you take the chance and sign-up. It's nice to get $5 for 10 minutes of work instead of clicking for weeks/months for the same amount :)
Oh, yes, fromw hat I understand is the reason Pinecone doesn't like their program discussed on a lot of forums is due to the divulging of information (such as specific product surveys they are doing) and the banner locations. They don't want a large amount of people from forum XYZ to all click on their limited banners. By having random banners, they hope to have a more diverse membership.

Dixietai,
I would suggest you try http://arlanascorner.com. It is a free site and has pages and pages of paid survey sites listed. I was wondering if you can let us know how arlanas site is compared to the sites you paid to join to get the listing of survey sites. I have never paid for the info and I have wondered exactly how many they really give you. Could you let us know?
Thanks

Honestly, I havent yet. In the past 3 years I have come across the link to join at least 8 times and I have never been accepted. I always have found the link in the same place. I guess I just havent fit the profile yet.

First you have to find one of their random banners, apply and be selected. Like disaptdclicker, if you don't fit the profile they are looking for at the time you are SOL.

Yup that's how I joined.
Found a banner and signed up.
I think they're specific to country too, some for U.S., some for Canada, some for U.K., etc.
Keep your eyes out peeps. If I'm *not crabbing about it* it, you know it's gotta be something!

Just checked on sighning up with Pinecone. The info i got was, that, thye only take new members 3 to 4 times a year and run banners on sites. What sites it didn't say. So all i can say is "keep your eyes open". So happy that i am a member there. I've received 2 more checks in the past week. Thats 9 in 2 months. If you do a product suvey? You get $5 and if they send it to you, you get $5 and after a week or 2, they'll ask you to do a short survey on the product and you get another $5. Just did one on a surface cleaner...$15 total and the product. Oh ya, they wanted the bottle back, so they sent me all the packaging, all stickered with postal charges to send it back, Yep another $5 for sending it back.lol. Thats $20 for that.

undefined Hey, does anyone have a link to sign up for pinecone research or know where to find one? Please email at player_1115@hotmail.comundefined
NO.....sorry,no one has a link for you...if you read the thread you will see most are telling you this is totally at random...you may run across one...hopefully
sometimes...rarely...they will let members invite others..but it is usually very specific...(ie, usa moms to be needed for a study....usa peeps with heartburn or diabetes or whatever)
anyone who tries to "help" others find/join Pinecone risks losing their own account..unlike other stuff Pinecone is a "for real" research company and they do NOT want their links/urls/etc spread around on boards like this or freebie boards...
People who are "in" Pinecone might want to re read their terms...I have seen people lose their accounts trying to be "helpful"...it would be NICE if one could share this, but really the company is very strict
Hopefully you will run accross a banner....good luck..and if you do, please do not be helpful and try to share it or tell others where you found it on a message board...cause if you do Pinecone will null your account!
Yes, they are cool, yes they pay, but ...they are very very strict...good luck and if you surf web a lot you may run into one ;) hth
