I've been a member of DollarsByEmail since May and I'm very proud to inform you that I've already earned 1 cent (ONE CENT!!!). I have over 100 points but as far as I'm concern they are worthless (don't really understand how much they're worth).
I was told that this is a "good" program but all I'm getting is 1-point emails.

Am I wasting my time with this program?

Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Maybe, maybe not...

Wayne's an honest guy from MY experiences...

When someone purchases a premium e-mail, 1c is paid. When someone purchases an economy e-mail, points are sent out.

And for the record, they do have paid-to-click and did have paid-to-signup (not sure if they still do).

125 points does (or did) = 5c, btw.

Rob :)

I would stick with it. DBE will pay out. I am sure of that.

We can provide incentive based on the advertisers purchase, but after many complaints i'm removing points to cash conversion. They were never meant to be converted in the first place, and were there to replace unpaid ads. Now some webmasters remove unpaid ads, theres still complaining.

If you earn a honest pay, you get a honest pay. I'm removing the cash conversions right away. The reason I decided that was down to too many complaints, the low value is participation, not me. To change unpaid to point emails was, so I could send emails, and with not knowing how much affiliate programs are going to pay me, I couldnt determin a fair pay. How other webmasters deal with their PTR, none of my business but thats my method.

I'm sure Wayne is an honest guy. I don't question that. I'm talking about money here.
All I'm saying is that you make more with other programs in one day than with DBE in 3 months.

For example:
- MailForCash sends every day two emails, 1st worth 5c and 2nd worth 10 point.
- LetterWealth two emails/day worth min. 2-3 cents.
- Click4cents 2-3 cents/day
- PenniesByEmail 2 cents/day

Today I got bunch of emails from DBE worth 0.5 point (that's right, HALF a point).
Minimum payout, as far as I remember is $1. If it took me 3 months to make 1 cent, how many more months do I have to click on 0.5 point links before I qualify to redeem? Do the math.

Do I want to stick around for another 25 years to make a buck? I don't think so.

I know that there are 100's GPTR programs and competition is huge. I also know that nobody will get rich from reading emails. Most of us participate in those programs to earn pocket money but with DBE you can't even do that. I'm sorry but this is a joke.

I think people should open their eyes, stop dreaming and start supporting only programs that treat their members with some respect. (I take 0.5 points emails as an insult).

Looks like my days with DBE are numbered.

Thank you

Big gptrs with big payments seem to go belly up rather quick. Theres members there fully participating earning 150 points on average. If I do away with downline points and keep personals, I should be able to get that point value high if I bring it back.

I am also very cautious. $300+ was lost last year when I started sending my own emails for different affiliation programs. Participation was low. You mentioned MailForCash, so think you can earn $2.50 do you for every $10? theres a $2.50 minimum click requirement - let me know if you get paid, I still havent even with my referrals.

For webmasters to send out cent emails, they need a certail level of participation, and patience. I have been through the road and members dont appear to appreciate any effort, its just complaints wherever you go. With the competition. expectancy in a company has grown, and nobody is paying for these services, and people expect the VIP treatment for $0 investment.

If advertisers buy premium, we send premium. We did away with member ads, i'm not going to lose more money just so members can click and not participate. I have left a manager in charge of the 2 sites because i'm no longer prepared to bust my back with ptrs and members anymore because its just not appreciated.

With 17,000 members, would you take risk on sending out cent mails for people not to respond? Many of those other sites don't have past 10,000. It gets pretty expensive the more you fail. If you want me to come out with a new ptr, pay heaps and be unrealistic, and then run when the payouts coming, thats not going to happen. Its time to be realistic. Alot are claiming to pay high and run with the loot. Has anyone ever been paid by a $100+ program? I havent heard anyone claim that yet. Members seem to support these scams, and participation in each PTR gets less for each new PTR that comes out. These low emails are not because I choose to send low emails, its done, by taking the membership into consideration. Members are quick to complain, but you dont see me slamming them by saying "You're a bunch of lazy idiots who should participate if you want to be paid more" and you dont see me sending mails like "You HAVE TO PARTICIPATE!!!". I'm not seen slamming members, even though, its the membership as a whole that make the point value low. I hope nobody thinks i'm being harsh here, I am being upfront and honest. The only change made since the company came back up was, I can no longer risk losing more money. If you see these new affiliate programs advertised, if people participate, you'll see that value rise. Even though there were complaints, I removed it, and then more complaints again so i'm thinking of making personal points convertable to cash, but if this is just going to cause more complaints, i'll scrap it completely and not bring it back. If theres some one with a good idea, sure i'll listen and if it works, i'll implement it, but until then, i'm proceeding the best way I know how.

If you had checked them 0.5 point links, you'd have known it was 4 links for 2 points total.

That was my point. 4 emails for 2 points. I get more points in 1 email from programs like Penniesbyemail, EmailTrafficKingdom, LetterWealth or MailForCash (sorry, I couldn't understand your comments above about this program , so I can't even respond) then what I make from reading yours 4 emails.

By the way I have two questions:
1. What is 1 point worth? I can't figure it out.
2. Cynthia is running DBE site now. Is this permanent and just temporary because I already noticed some improvement. Bravo Cynthia.

Thanx

Thats weird, she hasnt changed anything yet. Shes there temporarily.

Also to add to that, those other companies you mentioned, none of them have $1 minimum payouts, so more risks can be taken on sending each email out. I'm going to put it to a poll, to send out at new rates and have a $15 payout, or leave it as normal.

Since Cynthia took over I didn't get any 0.5 point emails. To me that's improvement.

I still don't know what 1 point is worth. Do you?

Thanks

The only 0.5 email was when I sent 4 auction links out in 1 email. There hasnt been any lower than that, and those were the only ones. If you need to see point values, those are in the help section, but we're thinking of bringing cash conversion back soon, if there isnt going to be any outcry at the value, only the memberbase can change that.
