RichMails was for sale on eBay. Get out the auction description completely. The description really show what is in high payout webmasters minds.

if that isn't grounds for boycott or some nice prison time right there. I'd love to contact the IRS and see if they know that a teenager is (supposedly) making that kind of money. Far as I know, it isn't legal for someone underage to own a business. It isn't allowed for someone under age to use ebay, either.
You can now get addresses off of Ebay. Something to ponder while eyeing your baseball bat. Even though I doubt he really made that much, if he was making so much money, he would have dropped out, hired a tutor, and sat back on the cash.

But, on the other hand, don't you think that some other idiot did some sort of "sales pitch" to get the person who bought it to believe that it could be re-sold for such an amount? Seems to me that way too many of the get paid to read programs get put up for sale on e-bay. There must be a reason they are all for sale and one of the reasons is probably that some slick sales person convinced one of those suckers Phineas T. Barnum said was born every minute that they could sell it off as an established business. Unfortunately, it would have to be very well established to be worth 8 g's and I don't know many on-line programs that are that well established.

As for the IRS, I think that is a problem that will surface not so far down the road for individuals who can't take the time to get a ten dollar business license and file taxes to make their businesses legitimate. I attended a seminar not so long ago for one of the high priced shysters (U-sight) that flat out told people they didn't need a business license. I was flabbbergasted. Now, I'll grant you, my earnings on line wouldn't support even my Chihuahua but I enjoy trying to find that program while I get my own case of carpal tunnel. LOL

I don't think the PTR's we see on ebay are there because these people got suckered in. I think alot of it has to do with the fact that people buy the things in the beginning thinking they'll make some money. The misconception here is that like any business, good things take time. You have to work and then it's not fail safe.

I own 2 PTR's and it takes some work. Plus with all the new ones popping up everyday, it's very hard to get advertisers... that's a big killer for alot of programs. It's just not the little "pot of gold" it used to be, but once the wave is over, perhaps it'll be a little more profitable for members and webmasters alike. JMHO
