The boycott process, until now, has been suspended as a result of the discovery of faults within our system. After implementing a string of changes, we believe now is the time to re-commence boycotts.
As of October 20, 2004, formal boycotts are now re-open at GPTBoycott.
The changes made at GPTBoycott.Com over the last few months include, but are not limited to:
- Improved e-mail communications, management, and contact facilities
- Improvements to the structure of the Discussion Forum
- The introduction of the Mailing List
- The additions of the Dead List, and the Watch List
- Increased stringency with regards to the validity and legitimacy of complaints used to justify a boycott, as well as increased promotion of the reasons behind a boycott
- Improvements in the submission of complaints, and the level of detail expressed on the submission page
- The introduction of a formalised unboycott procedure
- The new Sustainability area, with relevant Forums
The Seal of Approval program, which has been suspended for some time now, will be removed, as we seek to improve upon what we do best; process boycotts. All previous Seals awarded are null and void, effective immediately. All previous winners will be asked to remove the Seal from their site. It is our belief that the Sustainability area will give a more objective look at a program's potential lifespan than any vote-based Seal could. Different methods of voting and nomination were considered, but all fell short of ensuring the Seal was objective, and corruption-free.
It is our sincere hope that with the co-operation of visitors, members, and industry-insiders, we can continue to work to fulfil our principal aim; to fight the get-paid scams head-on.
