Logging into the IPTL site today this message appeared:
UPDATE ON IPTL'S CASH POSITION AND MEMBER PAYMENTS. IPTL is still in a very serious cash position which is not improving, and we cannot make any member payments which are outstanding or due at this time. We are going to make available an online member survey within this coming week in order to ask our members what their preferences are regarding resolving this continuing and growing problem. If you are not signed up for accepting online surveys from IPTL already, please go to your "Change My Info" link in your member menu and select to receive surveys. Our member survey will be the only survey you will receive within this coming week, so you can take that one and then opt out again if you do not want to accept other surveys in the future. We will be giving Cash Points to each member who takes this member survey, and it is very important for us to have your input as to what solutions you consider to be best at this time. We want to always keep faith with our members, so we will attempt to always keep you fully informed. However, please do not email us about your payment or our cash position. We cannot do anything more than we can do at this time and our plate is very full. Emailing us about these matters will only work against overall progress and solutions. Thank you for your continued support and patience as always, if you decide you can hang in there with us during this time. - IPTL
Are they going to pay up or not?
What do others think?

I think that they have been having a lot of money problems lately. What i like about them is that they are asking members what they should do and not just close and run away with the money that they have.

I also like that they're asking. I really believe they're trying to find a way out of their money problems, and hopefully they'll find a solution.

IPTL has had problems in the past. they stayed offline for several months, but when they got back on line they paid like they said they would. It did take some time, but they did pay. I have to believe that they will pay, again. I appreciate their honesty about the problems that they are having.

Maybe whoever is a member should send them an email telling them how good of a job they are doing. I know most sites dont get that and it would make them feel good. It's just a suggestion.

I agree with everyone's comments :)
I have been paid in the past :)
Your right Keith perhaps us members should email them :)
Will do that this week.
Yeah I agree. It's your nice comments which keeps us going, and I'm sure the same applies for any honest GPT program on the Internet.
If they intended to steal the members cash, they wouldn't ask for our opinions etc., would they?
Seems common sense to me... after all if we only receive 1/2 of what we are owed and the site closes... it's better than $0.

I signed up with IPTL on June 21 2000.
I waited patiently for more than 1 year for this program to start and I only got paid once.
For the many members who had signed up with them more than 1 year ago, it is quite disappointing.
They had plenty of time to recruit advertisers and members.

I have been a member since they launched and i have never earned enough to get paid. I don't have all day to to answer their question and now that i do not have a gold membership i have to have atleast $50 to get paid and can only earn 4500points with out referrals. at that rate it would take atleast 1 year to get paid.

I was on their site today and they have the survey on there for us to answer. It has 5 questions for you to answer. One of them is whether or not you are willing to take gifts instead of money. Another one is if you don't want gifts in what way would you be willing to be paid. We will just have to wait and see if they will at least pay part of it. I hope they do. I have to say I am really disappointed they owe me over $150.

Volfan I know how you feel
They owe me around $400 US which works out roughly $741 Aus dollars :(
I became a gold member for 6 months as well :(
Anyone still going to bother to do the quizes now we know it looks like we probably won't be getting paid?

If they owed me $400 I'd still do the quizzes...
But only because you might get a good gift instead of a crappy t-shirt or something LOL.

What do other members of this site think of the new changes that have been listed on the IPTL site.
For instance the changing of the payout amount to $100 min....the max points being able to be earned from a gold membership to 50,000 (not for those who have already signed up for the gold membership or will do so before the 1st September, they can still earn unlimited points for the quizes).
The IPTL Mall will be open for business early in September.
Also starting early in September there will be a brand new IPTL private online paid messaging center which will allow all members to earn more Cash Points by choosing to read online messages made available to them.
Plus other changes too numerous to list.
I think it is a positive step in the right direction and give it the thumbs up :)
What do other think?

I've heard people whining about it on other forums, but honestly, it's a lot less severe than I thought it would be. Yes, the high minimum isn't good-- I'll probably never get to payout again. But I can always use my earnings for advertising or in their mall.
I'm just not sure that they've made enough changes to their business plan to really make it profitable, and I know they'll lose a lot of members once they see the minimum.

I am not happy about the minimum payment. With the free membership and only one referral it will take over a year to earn the $100 to request payment. but i will wait and see what their mall has to offer. I am back doing quizzes for a while any way.
4500 x 12=54000 which would = $54 so it would really take amost 2 years without referrals
