View Full Version : what's up with Blink?

I'm ready to boycott blink.com. Their click rates are ridiculous. Half of the signups don't credit. And rewards? What rewards? I ordered a $2 moneyzap/western union payment on March 7, 2002. I'm still waiting on it. I have e-mailed them at least 5 times. They tell me that they are dealing with the merging of Bigprizes and Prizegames with Blink. Whatever. Twice, I tried to call them during normal business hours. Nobody answered either time. It should not be this hard to get them to send me two dollars!

Frustratedly yours,

Jon

There have been a lot of complaints about blink not paying out lately. I've never had a problem, but then I haven't tried to cash out since The Vendare Group started overseeing this site. There had been some evidence recently that they were 'getting better', in terms of crediting signups at least.

I'd settle for a true boycott of the 5-pointers in fast clicks - send a message to blink that they are worthless by not clicking on them! It's just plain stupid that the verification bonus is worth more than what you're clicking on.

I have been paid one time by Blink. It took forever to get my $2. The points on the site have declined. I use to get at least 550 points a day. Now i am lucky to get 400. Most days around 350.

Hi Volfan. What's the secret to getting Blink to pay up? I've tried everything. It''s really not worth the trouble for $2. But I almost have enough for another $10 reward and I'm too stubborn to let them win LOL. I just wish they would do the honorable thing and pay me. Wishful thinking, I guess.

jtaylor,

I'm not sure what the trick is. I emailed them several times before I got it. Never a reply to an email, though. It took 3 months to get my $2. I thought I would give them another try and this time get to the level where they pay by paypal and see if that works better. But the points are so low right now, it is going to take awhile to get there.

I sent them another e-mail. I am usually nice when corresponding with customer service personnel. However, I tossed that out and let them know, without using profanity or any threats, that I was tired of their BS. I asked why they say that rewards will be paid within 6-8 weeks but I have waited over 20 weeks (141 days and counting). I can deal with the low points. What I cannot tolerate is being lied to and defrauded. Essentially, that's what the powers that be at Blink/Vendare have done to me. It's only two bucks. But the principle is bigger than that to me. Oh well. I'll fall off my soapbox now. <CrAsH>
Thanks for reading and letting me vent.

After reading all of the comments on this (and other) boards, I got concerned that the $25 amazon gift certificate that I requested a few weeks ago from Blink would never arrive.

Much to my surprise, I received the gift certificate last week -- just 2 weeks after I requested it! No problems, worked perfectly...!

So, I'm going to keep using the site for now, since it's been working for me.

I do not do the 5point sites unless i am close to getting to the next 1000 n points. I got real spoiled before the first of the year when on a good day you got between 1200 and 1500 points. 350 points is a bummer.

I redeemed once with Blink about 6 months ago and got my 500 clicks to my old site after about 6 months of waiting patiently lol.

Yeah I have not had a problem with Blink either. If anything they probably have a problem with me because I don't visit as often anymore... :)

I mostly cash out though for amazon gift certs or site visits both of which have always been delivered.

I just think that if they can afford to give out $25 gc's then they obviously can afford $2.00. I guess that's their way of stealing points. They advertise cash payments, but when people "cash out," oops, there's no more money and my order is put on indefinite wait. If they would cancel the cash request and give me back my 20,000 points, I might be willing to try for a gc. But first I want a refund. I've given up on them and stopped visiting the site since they obviously do not want my business.

As of today there were only 3 sites that were not 5 pointers. No more apartment renting site for 50 with slot type machine. now it realy not worth doing.

I cashed out on July 23rd for a 40 dollar paypal credit and still have not received it nor have they answered the e-mail I sent them last week. I e-mailed them because I never received my confirmation e-mailfor this redemption. I'll give another week or two then I'll e-mail them again.

I read on another board that contacting this man has helped people get their redemptions:

today there were only 2 sites not worth 5 points. General vitamin was a 5 pointer today- not the 25 it has been. now there is even less reason to go there.

I'm sorry others have had problems. When I got to 82,000 points I requested a $10 gift certificate for Amazon. I had it within 10 days and it worked fine.

Blink was a mess when the new people took over. I agree that the site should have been boycotted then but not now. Mark Ponce really does help get your account all straightened out. I had been waiting since May for a $100 MoneyZap payment. Thought that I would never see my money. But much to my surprise, I did receive the $100 MoneyZap payment in August.

Yes, I know that it took a long time, but hey, the important thing is, I did get the money. Don't give up on Blink quite yet. Email Mark and work with him. He's great at answering quickly and will work hard to get things all straightened out for you.

At this point in time, I will not boycott Blink.

I've never had a problem getting my rewards from Blink. They "ain't what they used to be" - but not many programs are. Received my last reward on 7/30 and didn't have to wait long at all to get it. As for the 5 pointers, at least there are points! I won't boycott them as long as they keep paying, and as has been posted on other boards, they do put up 20 pointers about every other day. My feelings are if you don't like the 5's (which do add up) drop the program.

I e-mailed Mark. We'll see what happens. Sounds like I am the only one who had terrible luck with them. Thanks for everyone's replies.

Unless and until I get paid, they remain on my personal boycott list. But I am glad that at least someone is being paid.

I will repeat this here- on a site at prima rewards called compare rewards there is a note that says blink has been removed from linkshare because they are not paying their affiliates in a timely manner.

Hi Trina

I do apologize if this is your first response from Blink.com regarding this issue. The overdue webcertificates situation is a top priority.

I have verified your $40 webcert in August. Your account has been added to my list of accounts that need to be brought up-to-date.

Unfortunately we are having to reprocess quite a few accounts. This has turned out to be very time consuming and is taking much longer than was originally projected.

I am still updating accounts with redemptions prior to yours, so I hope you can be patient with us. We've been able to send out quite a few of the overdue webcert's recently, so you should be receiving yours soon.

Thank you for your patience.
Mark

I e-mailed Mark again because I redeemed for a $40 PayPal redemption. Otherwise I am satisfied with his response and will continue with Blink. My reply was received in 10 hours, thats a good response time if you ask me.

I e-mail Mark regarding my $2.00 moneyzap reward. Here is his response, dated Aug. 29, 2002.

Hello Jon

I do apologize if this is your first response from Blink.com regarding this issue. I have just recently become responsible for Blink.com customer service and this webcertificates situation is a top priority.

I have verified your $2 MoneyZap from back in March. Your account has been added to my list of accounts that need to be brought up-to-date.

We've been able to send out quite a few of the overdue webcert's recently, so you should be receiving yours soon.

Thank you for your patience.
Mark

Just wanted to let everyone know that there was more points to get today. I got 555. There were quite a few that were more than 5 and a lot had the "extra" points.
