View Full Version : Questions/opinions about Dollars Love

Does anyone know for sure if Dollars Love is owned/operated by the same people as CashRead (which has been boycotted)?

I would like to hear any comments, good or bad, about Dollars Love. I've been a member since they first launched and really can't remember what my earnings were, but know for sure that I clicked the links on every email they sent and signed up for some of their special offers. Last month my account was inadvertently deleted, so I emailed the webmaster for an explanation. The immediate response was basically, "Oops, our fault, sign up again and we'll reinstate your earnings." As instructed, I signed up again and have yet to see a credit of my past earnings. I emailed them almost daily over the last month asking when my account would be credited? I've earned 63 cents since signing up again, so it shows $30.63 ($30 is the signup bonus). By my rough calculations I should have at least twice that amount because the payout is $200 and the earnings were adding up quite fast. I had a little touble trying to decypher the response I got from Dollars Love yesterday, but gather that whoever answered assumes that the 63 cents I've earned since rejoining has corrected the problem. WRONG! The REAL kicker is that now I have to wait until the end of August when "stacy" gets back from "holiday" to find out about my money. Call me a little dense but, I JUST CAN'T HELP BUT FEEL THAT MY MEASLEY EARNINGS HAVE GONE ON HOLIDAY WITH STACY!

Here's a copy of their response (verbatim), with my last email to them just below it. Please note that the email is sent From: webmaster@dollarslove.com, but the closing signature is: Kind
Regards, CashRead Admin. Proof enough for me that the same unethical people are running both programs (or rather scams). Really hope I haven't spoken too soon, but right now I'm past frustrated with these people.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. This is the very 1st forum I've registered for & 1st posting ever made, so I hope I haven't abused any rules or otherwise misused this opportunity to express my feelings. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum! You havent broken any rules. :)

Yeah Stacy owns both cashread and dollarslove. I suggest you cancel your account with them because the min. to cashout is so high you will never reach it. I think i'm going to add them to the boycott list soon

Thanks so much for the information, Keith. You put into words what I already strongly felt was the inevitable.

P.S. This forum biz is really cool. Now I just have to figure out how to use these smiley face thingies. :-)

Wow, am I glad I found you guys! lol I do not get alot of time on the computer anymore, however I did join quite a few paid email programs about a month ago and am just getting familiar with them and learning the ropes so bare with me on some of my ignorance regarding these programs so far...thanks

I am glad I finally stumbled upon a post regarding CashRead and DollarsLove. And yes, they are both owned (or managed) by the same people. I have asked questions on several occasions myself and Stacy always responds (if I can get her to respond that is) in a not so respectful yet evasive nature.

I have had nothing but problems simply trying to click on their 'paid' ads in their emails. I constantly get 'page can not be displayed' errors on every one of them. I have emailed them many times regarding this problem and Stacy replies stating it is my problem, not theirs because I am using a hotmail account. hmmmmmmm hard to believe I do not have this same problem with the 30 other paid email programs I belong to. Can someone enlighten me on this? Plus, I can not believe that a good majority of paid email members are not using a hotmail account or yahoo.

here is their generic email to all members and this was sent from both CashRead and DollarsLove:

We are aware that Hotmail users are receiving errors when clicking our
links.
This is not our fault, rather write to Hotmail support, because they are
aware of the problem too and are not fixing it.
Our links are always checked and checked, they are all working fine, but if
some email readers alter them, there is nothing we can do about it.

The best solution is to login into your account and edit your email to a
non-web based one.
Notice that your username will always be your OLD email, and that's what you
have to use to login and get credit for paid emails.

Sincerely,
Stacy Miller

(here is another reply)

The problem is with hotmail.
It alters our links and they are aware of the problem.
The only solution is to edit your email in your dl account and change it to
a non-web based one.

I am constantly getting 'page cannot be displayed' errors on your paid
emails as soon as I click on the link in your email. Even if I have cleared
my temp files and cookies. If I try to refresh the page it goes to your
login screen but says I have already visited the page. How can I have if it
is a new email? Am I getting credit for this email without even logging in?

I get this message at home and at work so it must be something with my logon
or id with you. I do not have this problem with many other paid email
programs I belong to, although there is one other paid email program that I
do have this same problem. I belong to over 30 of these programs.

Please advise,

Judy

this is my original email to cashread:

Of course, you cannot refresh the page or you get that you've already
visited the site.
Don't click twice on the links either.

Just click once on the link and wait for the page to load.

Subject: page cannot be displayed

page cannot be displayed

I continually get 'page can not be displayed' errors on specifically your
paid emails. When I do the 'refresh' it then takes me to a screen that
tells me I have already been credited for this ad. Why am I getting so many
of these from cashread?? I do all of my paid emails from everyone at once
and do not have this problem with others.
This is happening today on ad #1636.

So I do not know if I am actually getting credit for it because it says I
have read it or if there is a problem with your ads

===========================================

I really appreciate the work you guys are doing here and to know there is a place to go to now to find out information on the good, bad and the ugly lol I just hate cancelling memberships after so much hard work getting to where I am with some of these but then again I also know that many have lost lots of money with some of these programs because of scams.

by the way, DollarsLove minimum payout is 2 or 300.00 and CashRead minimum payout is 500.00!!

thanks again,
Judy

sorry this is so long for my first post lol but the more information the better I guess....:-)

Judy

I may be a little late in posting this but if you are
anywhere near the redemption limit for a paid ad
from Dollars Love just hang on for a while and put
in the redemption. At least get something out of it
for the clicking you have done.

I did this myself a while back Got the ad sent out
4000 paid emals (Got 894 clicks) At least I got a
little back for my trouble.

Judy

thanks Taff, unfortunately I am not even close to any cashout :-( I just started the paid email programs about 2 months ago and have not even started getting any referrals lol I barely have time to keep up with all of the paid to click ads on the 30 accounts I have joined.

I am so green with all of this yet and trying to decide if I am going to even stick with any of it. I just have to try to find time to get the 'referral' concept started and set up.

I did not sign up under a very helpful sponsor :-( on some of the programs

Does anyone have any good sites they can refer me to that 'actual' explain the process and the monetary outcomes possible with all of this? I know I am only drudging along right now monetarily at this with no referrals but time has not been on my side much lately to get it really going. I do not find many of the sites I signed up for very informative for beginners...:-(

Any advise?

thanks again!

hello all,

if u read my previous posting abt DollarsLove (i think it comes under the section, suggest a program to boycott), this is just a follow up to say that i did actually paid a visit to the UK Police Station. The officer was kind enough to explain that my report alone may not justify anything. However if there are sufficient cases of people being scammed by Stacy Miller, the report will prove to be more effective.

I am not sure how this is going to be done but maybe someone can collate all reports abt DollarsLove and how they were cheated and forward the report to the London Police Station for Investigation. (London Police Station because Stacy Miller is staying in the heart of London !!!) Of course I am refering to people who were genuinely been cheated by Stacy and not pple whose accounts were deleted because they created referral accounts under their own names.

I am not sure if it angers you but if Stacy is really on holiday, she is using our hard earned money !!

Sorry I can't help, I got my advetisement from it then
unsubscribed, When all this came out about Dollars Love
and CashRead I was too close to redeeming for my advert
to quit. Lol I knew there was no way I would reach payout
but I wanted something out of it.

Surely not an English GPT scam!!

OK... I think if we could do the same thing as we did for EmailTreasures, get lots of information etc.... I can forward them to places in London if you wish; I live just outside of the city.

Hi Rob,

Exactly what do u mean by "forward them to places in London "... pardon me for my ignorance but i haven't quite been following the email treasures thread.

but one thing did cross my mind though if its too troublesome to lodge a police investigation - if there are enough numbers, can either give the story to BBC WatchDog or to the press....

just a thought...

Rob
10th August 2002, 04:59
I was just saying if anyone needs anything delivered anywhere in London, I can manage that and do it by hand...

As for BBC Watchdog, I think that's a route worth exploring if the scam is UK-based... or targeting UK members.

I wonder if they'll run a story on Nitroclicks... who knows we could get our site shown on national tv?! ;)

Rob

DAzHiredGun
10th August 2002, 13:56
Now, THAT would be cool !

National exposure for criminal exposure... "and justice for all."

hatefrauders
10th August 2002, 14:59
yeah, that would be cool !! But we need to find more people to speak up if they have been scammed by Dollars Love. Numbers are important here. I am not sure if Anne Robinson still hosts BBC Watchdog but it would be cool if we can get them to check out on Dollars Love. And yeah, it would be a good advertising chance for www.gptboycott.com too..

BTW, i just check out your site on www.gptalerts.com (or something like that - sorry..). Its really cool and when someone finally pays me and i have 7 bucks to spare, u can be sure i'll signed up !!

Rob

I propose:

1) A similar set-up to that of GPTBoycott.Com's method of reporting EmailTreasures losses...

See http://www.gptboycott.com/emailtreasures

... but this time for another nominated program. Perhaps CashRead/DollarsLove, or another UK-based scam would be a route to explore? Although being based in the UK isn't a necessity, as long as the program is internationally available.

2) Forward these details, with a detailed letter/explanation to BBC Watchdog, including details of GPTBoycott.Com

3) See the results...

Rob :p

Excellent idea, Rob! I like the way you think. What about polling the members with an email or something?

fatima1251

Doesn't Stacy Miller also run Money2Read along with CashRead & DollarsLove? It might be a good idea to post a poll/vote for input from those members. Just a thought to see if Stacy's the only one raking in the money as a result of faithful support & diligent efforts of her members, who in turn gain nothing in the end. Thanks all.

Well, it appears that Stacy is back from her holiday. This is an email I got today from DollarsLove (12-Aug):

I hadn't quite read every word of the faq section before asking them a question.

But, when I went back to read it again I found this:

May I cash out my $30 sign-up bonus now?
No, you can only cash out when you have $200 in your account. Don't send us payment request by PayPal for that, unless you want us to report you at PayPal for abuse.

Is it just me, or does that sound a bit on the vicious side?

I mean, how is asking for payment classed as ABUSE?!?!?

DAzHiredGun
12th August 2002, 16:25
Perhaps they consider a request for payment abusive language??

Rob

That's a joke right...

She can't be serious.

And hatefrauders, I'm glad you like the GPTAlerts site :)

Waiting for Keith to give us his two cents now...

Umm... well i dont really have much to say :( Let me think of something...... ok

I can understand her point though. A sign up bonus is a bonus. Let's say that you get a $30,000 bonus from your job. You dont get it all at once, you get it when you get your pay check. Ok not the best example, but that's all i could come up with. ;)

But i dont agree on the $200 minium to cash out.

I quite agree with not being able to cash out your signup bonus before you reach the set minimum payment (yes I also think $200 is far too high) but, the part of the FAQ answer I was actually commenting on was the "unless you want us to report you at PayPal for abuse" I think reporting people for abuse is taking it a bit too far.

Yeah I am bailing too. I already dumped CashRead after emailing them about the possibility of redeeming my sign up bonus for a paid ad and getting no response at all.

DollarsLove will be next to go. I have redeemed my paid ad and I am watching the click throughs. When they stop rising is when I will dump it.

I also dumped another tonight with a payout of $50 which isn't too bad but...

the only paid links they sent were worth a tenth to a quarter of a cent. It would take way too long to reach cash out at that rate.

I must face it.. I am starting to really get delete happy. I have too many emails to sift through for one thing. I often end up with a backlog of 500-800 emails.

For another thing I feel guilty advertising these on my GPTREM/Who's Paid page when I truly feel there is no hope of anyone cashing out with them.

Time to get my pan and sift out the gold from the dirt...

Update:

Stacy did credit my account with $35 today to make up for the earnings I lost when my account was deleted. Wow.. now it should only take another 11 years to reach that $200 payout. LOL
