I have lost my patience with Memolink. As I stated in another thread, I ordered my prize on 9/17/03. I began contacting their customer service around Christmas and they did not reply until the email here, which I am now posting. It is approaching 5 months and still no prize. At the time I redeemed my points, their site said it could take up to 45 days. They seem to be changing the rules as they go along. I am getting the feeling that Memolink is headed downhill fast. I realize that many of you have said that you always get your prizes from Memolink in a timely fashion, but I have also read a lot of replies that are to the contrary. They have reduced the amount of points from 5 to 3 for the site of the day and their daily emails have slowed to a trickle which leads me to believe that they are losing advertisers. I think it is time for a boycott.

Dear
We are truly sorry that you have not yet received your prize. After three years of struggling with late prizes, we are still in the same position. You have likely heard more than one reason from Memolink as to why your prizes have not been delivered. Although we have had some problems with our fulfillment system and old technology, the underlying problem has still not changed. We are still recovering from the "Dot Com" fall out dating back three years. Memolink is a small company of less then 20 people, and although we have tried many different ideas, and several new marketing strategies, it is a constant struggle to purchase $1.5 million dollars worth of prizes for which we were never paid by advertisers. The good news is, we have slowly knocked out $1 million of that prize debt in the last two years, and those prizes have been shipped! The bad news is, we still have quite a bit more to cover before we are completely caught up, which we feel will be sometime in the next 12 months.
As many of you are aware, Memolink, unlike many of its competitors, still honor the points you earn, even when we're not paid by our advertisers. Other point programs are known to reverse the points you've earned when they're not paid by advertisers. We've always felt that our policy was a better approach as we didn't want to penalize our members for something they had no control over. _ Recently, the economic climate for Internet companies has improved. The resurgence in our economy, the positive trend in online commerce and the failing of less stable rewards programs (our competitors) are all positive signs for Memolink.
We do keep up with the buzz on the message boards. The most common statement made by Memolink members is they just want us to be honest about their prize orders. _ Frankly, we want to be honest. We will no longer put a soft-cushion on our excuse, or give you a date that your prize will arrive. The truth is, we aren't sure. We have many loyal members that come to our site each day to complete offers worth many points. These members keep us in business and will be rewarded - they will receive their prizes. We also have many loyal members that come to our site each day and participate in only "free point offers" that don't bring in revenue. We are happy to provide these free offers, but this has caused an unforeseen financial strain that may need to be corrected if prizes aren't caught up soon.
What's our solution? We have created a new prize delivery arrangement that will allow us to take many things into consideration before shipping the prize to a member. This arrangement is designed to deliver prizes first to candidates that will come back and earn us the most revenue, enabling us to ship ALL prizes quicker. We would like to say again, all the prizes that have been ordered will be delivered, but we will not be able to give you a date at this time. After testing this delivery method, we hope to better predict when your prize will arrive, but we won't be able to do so until we see how well it works. _ Suffice it to say, if you complete revenue generating offers on Memolink (shopping, credit cards, clubs, etc.), both old and new prize orders will be given some priority.
The MemoGold program was launched to select members to show our appreciation to those who have stuck with us over the years. We will keep the system in place and current Memogold members will still receive other benefits of having an upgraded account, but the accelerated prize shipping won't be reintroduced until we have our prize shipments back under control.
__Once this has happened, we'll be launching the MemoGold program in full force and we can concentrate on giving it the attention it needs to be the best elite program on the Web!
You have continually asked us for forthright and honest answers. We are doing this for you today, even though it may not be the answer you want. We have confidence that this is the best solution, and quite possibly the ONLY solution, if we want to get out of this three year prize shipping deficit.
We welcome your feedback - but understand that we are unable to answer all emails regarding specific prizes at this time. While we are working through this new prize plan, we will be concentrating on prize organization, and emails related to specific prizes may go unanswered until we know where we stand. All other questions related to your account will be handled as quickly and as accurately as possible. Without hundreds of prize questions daily, we hope to give more attention to other Member Support issues.
We appreciate your understanding. Please know we are doing the best we can to rectify this situation as soon as possible. When this new strategy proves successful, and we are able to ship all the prize requests, it will mean a new beginning for Memolink, and a fresh start for its loyal members!
Unlike others in the industry, we're not looking to take the easy way out. We will pay off all prizes while continuing to enhance the point earning opportunities and services available to you on Memolink.com.
Memolink has been in business since 1994 and will celebrate its 10 year anniversary this June. _ We're looking forward to another 10 years in business and hope that you'll continue to be a loyal member.
Best regards,
Memolink Member Support Team

I have been waiting on a gift certificate from Amazon since last July. They say they want people to use their site to order things or sign up for other sites, well personally I would be much more inclined to if they sent the rewards quicker. If it is a choice between using them or using MyPoints, I'm going to use MyPoints, I know they send out their rewards in a timely manner.

I agree with you 100% Rachel!! I too use other rewards sites to make purchases through just for that reason. They are not reliable in their payouts. Did you fill out the form on the gpt homepage to get this site boycotted?? I have had the link to the BBBonline bookmarked for the past few days and I am getting ready to report them. It is a breach of promise what they are doing. Please fill out the form. Also, check out comparerewards.com. There is some info there that the owner of Memolink claims that the site is profitible so they are giving all of us a line.
I agree that MYPoints is a much safer place to make purchases through and they always send out their prizes in a very timely manner...
UPDATE!! Today, Tuesday 2/24 I filed a complaint with the BBBonline. It was a simple form and took less than 10 minutes.

:yinyang: I too ordered my Gift Certificate back in September. 9/9/03 to be exact. They have never given me the time of day as far as a reply to my inquiries. Today, 2/25 I ordered another $10 prize. I am submitting the form to boycott these folks as I think they are taking advantage of many people. My daughter told me of this forum and I am appalled at all the complaints I have read about Memolink. Oh, now when I ordered my prize, their site says it could take 12 weeks to get the prize. Well, it is 5 1/2 months since I ordered mine. I think Memolink is a scam and should be boycotted.

Hi-
I recieved the exact same letter as disaptdclicker when I inquired about my late GC.
I redeemed in June-2003!!!!
I noticed in Dec. my acct said my reward had been "filled". Then in Jan. it changed again & appears to be no longer filled but still pending???
This doesn't look good for any of us!

Please fill out the 'submit a program" form on the homepage. We need 10 folks to get this dishonest program boycotted. I seriously think that they think very little of us members. Sorry that you are going through this too.

I just registred, but have been reading the forums for awhile now. Anyways, I'm a member of Memolink, and on Jan. 8 I put in a request for a $25 check. Guess I'll just have to wait and see if I get it or not. If I don't, I'll probably be filling out the form to boycott. So far all the other programs I belong to have paid, but I did have a few close down on me before I got paid.

:yinyang: I recently contacted Memolink AGAIN to inquire about the status of my reward which I ordered on 9/9/03. I was quite surprised that they answered within about a week. It is almost 6 months since I ordered it. It amazes me how when you logon to their site it actually says "GET FREE STUFF NOW"!!! What a lie. This is the reply that I got to my inquiry. I have also reported them to the BBBonline. If anyone knows of any other consumer complaint places aside from the BBBonline and the forums, I wouldnt mind knowing and I would appreciate the advice.

I ordered a prize for a $10 Amazon GC on 9/9/03. Now it is over 5 months and your site is now saying that rewards will be send within 12 weeks. I am seriously considering contacting the BBBonline. Is your site becoming a sham?? Today I ordered another prize. Will this one truly come within 4 months?? What is becoming of Memolink?? When will I get my prize? This is a BREACH OF PROMISE!!!
Memolink's response:
Thank you for your email. We will be sending you an email within the next day or two explaining our revised Prize Fulfillment Policy. Counting myself, there are 6 members of my family who ordered their prizes LAST FALL!!! None of us have received our stuff yet. I also have 3 friends who have been waiting for more than 6 months. Some of these folks were referred to Memolink by me. Well, needless to say, I cant get anyone to sign up because the word has gotten around to the family and friends...and can you blame them!? Now, there are also all these folks that I am reading about on the forums who arent getting paid. Something is VERY amiss with Memolink!! It is not a "here and there" thing...it's an epidemic!!!
Who owns Memolink?? Does anyone know?? Does anyone know if they own anything else besides PCHpoints and Luckypoints? I also wonder if the advertisers care that they arent paying their members!!

Even if it takes a year! I just received a GC from PCHPoints that I redeemed for approx. 4 1/2 weeks ago!
Strange that this site run by memolink is paying but not memolink itself!

Yes it is strange. I still haven't received my gift certificate that I requested from Memolink last July.

I would be interested to know if ANYONE has been paid by them recently. Including myself and my referrals, they own 14 GC's to 6 folks. Some of them are family members so we have been speaking about this to each other lately. It adds up to $140 in GC's. If they are so delinquent in paying the 6 of us, they must be horrifically behind!!
I am really wondering if they are paying ANYONE!!! I am still not going to make any purchases through them. I really think that something is terribly amiss here.

That was some time last year though. They did pay me one $25 GC EARLY last year. As I have mentioned before, including myself, I know 6 people, some of them are my family and I referred them, IN THE FLESH who are waiting for their rewards and it is over 6 months for all of us. Just the 6 of us are owed $140 in GC's. My question is, if there are 6 who are owed that much, how bad is the problem, REALLY?? Thats not jelly beans and from what I see on getpaidforum and comparerewards and epinions, this problem is rampant and how are they ever going to pay everyone??...especially if folks are continuing to redeem, which I assume is still happening!?

:stupid: I ordered one of my gift certificates back in September 2003 and I just ordered another the end of February and at that time I contacted them to inquire about the one from September. On 3/3/04 I received the same long winded email response from them that is already posted on the first page of this thread. It is the same one I also received back in January. I honestly dont beleive they are ever going to send them out. I have no confidence in them and also have not been making purchases through them, like some of you. I think they are in trouble and that the troubles are backing up on them. I was an accountant for 40 years and what is happening to them is obvious.

:\ Yes I have noticed!! Not only have they lowered points for the stuff on their website, the email value points have gone down to one point with the occasional 2 point solo.
I have only been logging onto the site once or twice a month now but they have a survey now that is entitled "We appreciate you" and in the survey you are given a chance to tell them how you feel about the site and I let em have it.

I've been waiting since 7/24/2003 for a $25 Amazon.com GC, and it still hasn't shipped. I emailed Memolink 3 times, and asked different questions, but I still received the same canned reply each time.
They made me a member of MemoGold as a "reward" for my patience. But why do I care how many points I rack up, when they're not going to send out prizes anyway?
I redeemed a GC in 2002 and received it promptly, but I'm starting now to wonder whether I'll ever receive this one.
I did read in their TOS that anybody who hadn't logged in for over 2 months would be deleted and all prizes forfeited. So, I keep logging in every week or two, just to keep my account active.

;) I have received that same response twice. Once in January and once the beginning of March right after I ordered another GC!! Now I have received this. Another of my family members lives in the same complex and they are taking it that we live together. We both sent in our info last week and did it twice for good measure so they cant say we they never received it. It has been well over a week since we did this and still no response as to when (or if) we will get our prizes. I still can not log on to my account. The last time I logged on was the beginning of March. I really dont think I will ever get my prizes. I personally think this is just another ploy not to pay out.

They have demoted me from a "gold" membership to regular because I didn't meet the required points in 6 months in order to stay a gold member. I'm still getting the same standard answer when I inquire about the gift certificate I ordered 9 months ago. I told them that if I received my g.c. I would use their site more and it was like they didn't even read my message, just sent the same old answer. I still log on at least once a day so my membership isn't canceled, but I have just about give up on ever getting my reward.

I too am no longer at Memolink. I have been waiting since June 2003 for my GC to show up. When I checked on it once, it said it was filled, but never came. After asking them about this it suddenly said it was not filled yet. I recently tried to log in and could not. I am sorry, but I have discarded all contacts from Memolink because I have just given up on them. It ended up that they closed my account due to the fact that my Granddaughter in NJ has a similar name, mine is Jessie, born in 1929, and hers is Jessica born 1983. Even though our addresses are 1200 miles away, they claimed we are the same person. I do however still receive their emails for points and since I am unable to login to the site to stop these emails, I have begun to report them as spam to my ISP. I agree with you Rachelo that they are only looking for excuses to close accounts. They are definatly not on the up and up and now they have personally identifying info about me. Golly GrandmaJ! That is downright frightening! I didn't cancel my membership yet because I love the trivia page but I think I will--right now.
And everyone who reads this: if someone asks you for personal information on OR off line, think about what they need it for before you supply it. Be suspicious even if they give a seemingly reasonable explanation. Common sense should tell you how much information they need to send you a check or pay you by Pay Pal, etc.
Any site that asks for more than you name and address--things they can get out of any phone book, and your e-mail warrants scrutiny as far as I'm concerned. Even those pages that ask for your interests are sketchy since I have yet to see a site that asks for my interests that restricts the mail they send me to those interests. For example, I NEVER check "searches" but I get a mailbox full every single day.
Also, if you think you are on a secure page when you send information on line, check to be sure it is actually secure by right clicking on a blank spot on the page and choosing "properties" from the drop down list. If it says "not encrypted" don't send anything. If you want to buy something from an unencrypted page, do it by some other means.
Many of the major companies have supposed "experts" doing their web sites who don't even encrypt the data. You, as a customer, are left wide open to identity theft.
As an example, one company whose site is NOT Encrypted is the Hartford insurance company. The Hartford is a legitimate company that has been in business for 200 years but their web site was designed by an amatuer. BE WARY! Even if you see that little lock at the bottom of the page, be wary. Even if you know that the company asking for the information is legit, it doesn't mean you can't become a victim of someone less scrupulous.
I learned this when I had a credit card number stolen on line and it disrupted my whole life to get it straightened out. Probably you all knew this and I didn't until something happened to me but I pass the information along at every opportunity, sorry.
Jumping off my soapbox and back into the mailbox.........

I wish Rob (dazhiredgun) would get involved in this. He is always great at getting these rip off people to answer (ie Prima Rewards).
I think that they are just looking for false reasons to end our memberships just so they dont have to pay. Think I will go over to Epinions and write a scathing review. They may have canceled my account, but I am not going to give up dogging them. They are ripping too many of us off!!!:yinyang:

Now here is where I have to be very honest and admit that I don't know how to put in for them to be boycotted.
I think it should be, due to the fact that I have been a member with them since they started out, practically, and now they refuse to pay me because I don't make enough points in a month to retain my gold membership-- even though they cut the points and send out less mail. I liked the trivia section in that site best but half the time there are no questions so I can't even make up any points that way. I can't afford to join every paid offer out there just to get points when they may find some reason not to send out the goods or money anyway.
(And, anyone who can afford to pay for all the things offered needs to get off line and go open their own bank to make some REAL money because, other than certain PTR's where gold memberships were advantageous, the only programs I ever put out money up front to join were pretty much scams run by fast talking scam artists.
So, count me in GrandmaJ, and point me in the direction. This is the only forum I belong to because it has always proven to have the greatest number of sensible participants so I haven't a clue what is being said on other forums.

Ron,
Does the GPTBoycott notifiy a site that is going to be boycotted? And tell them why? I just thought it might make them realise just how disatified their members were if they knew about this.
Just wondering...

GOOD Question, RachelO!
Maybe they don't care...but I would think that might be a good motivator & a fair warning. Sort of like a chance to make things right.

:\ Three times over the past 3 months I have written to them about when I can expect to receive my gift certificates (3 owed), plus a couple of other concerns I have...and 3 times I have received the same standard answer. I don't think they are even reading my questions any more.
Has ANYONE received a reward from them recently? Has anyone been able to learn anything new from them? Does anyone know anything??

No, Rachelo, I normally do not contact the site(s). In most instances, the respective programs have already been contacted, any number of times, by members such as yourself ... and ignored. Obviously, if the site was concerned about member satisfaction, corrective action would have been instituted with the first complaint. In my opinion, they were warned and took no action after countless opportunities.
From a complaint dated May 6, 2003:
I earned the required amount of points for a $50 best buy gift certificate about 2 years ago. I ordered it and they told me 6 months, I thought that was a long time already, but 2 years later it still hasnt arrived. I've emailed them many complants but they keep saying to wait some more. I think its a scam. please help me. thanks.
and ... from December 18, 2003:
I have been with Memolink since it first started. I used to earn my points and cash them in for prizes but now. Its always some major hold up as to why you have not receive your prize. I placed an order in June & have yet to receive it. On my last e-mail in October as to why I haven't received it yet they say this"Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, our summer orders have been delayed. We know this disappointing news, but rest assured you will receive your prize(s). Please understand that we are working hard to ship these prizes in the next couple of months. We will be sending you an update regarding your prize order(s) and when you can expect them to arrive. This update will be sent to your email address around Dec. 1, and will include information on prizes that have been filled and prizes that are not yet filled from earlier this year. Memolink is growing rapidly and we are in the process of upgrading our prize fulfillment and fraud protection processes so that 2004 prize orders are handled in a much more timely manner. Again, we understand your concern, but we ask that you refrain from sending emails regarding these prizes until you have received our update in December. Have a nice day. Sincerely, Tim Stevens Member Support Memolink, Inc. " Now its december and still no prize in the mail. I say shut them down. They even went in and deleted some prize orders out. They r losing respect for there members.
This is inexcusable and totally unaccepatable. I'm not wasting my time writing them ... would you? Maybe they'll get the message when someone directs their attention to this thread or the Boycott List, when Memolink appears on the list ... which, btw, will be very soon.

Rachelo, when I questioned Memolink as to why they hadn't sent my last gift certificate the first time, they ignored me. the next time, they also ignored me, But the third time, they sent me a message telling me that you can't ask for redemptions unless you are a gold member and I no longer have enough points in a month to retain my gold member status. Well, unfortunately, they don't send out enough mail and they cut the points on what they do send so that unless you buy a bunch of stuff you don't want or pay to join a bunch of programs that you know will scam you, you can't earn enough points to retain gold membership. Overall, it's a catch22.
If you look back to the beginning of this thread, I supported memolink because up until that time they had always paid me. I am not sure what happened to make things change for them but I don't see any point in bothering to waste any more time participating in a program (and I belonged to that one since they first started) that obviously has no intention of paying.

Thank you Ron, and you are right... As many times as I (and I am sure MANY other members) have written to them and got no REAL answer, I can't see how your writting to them would help either. They once were a good site, but for what ever the reason, they aren't any more. If they end up boycotted, they have no one to blame but theirselves.

I requested payout in November 2003.
They answered with three emails before they finally revealed to me that if I was not a customer that regularly buys online and signs up for several offers a month, then I can expect to wait in line to be paid.
I responded that this was not fair, but they insisted that they are kept in business by those who purchase online, so those who are not regular online purchasers will be required to wait.
I have submitted them for boycott.
I kept TOS and was not informed of this new requirement at any time.
Maybe they could learn a thing or two from mypoints. At least they honor their TOS and I haven't made any purchases, I just signed up for newsletters.

I used to use their site to do some of my purchases, and even signed up for a few things through them. I stopped after I requested a gift certificate last July and it was never sent. Now I only do the free things, just to keep my membership open...just in case I ever do get my reward.
But you are right about MyPoints, they don't hold it against you if you only do the free things, they sent your reward in a timely manner. And no, there was never any kind of info sent out that says you HAVE to buy through their site in order to get your rewards!

Are they getting back on track? Anyone else getting their rewards? I honestly don't know what to say or what to think about this.

I got 3 $10 GC's on 6/22. 2 were ordered back on 9/03 and one 1/04. I recently cashed in for another $10 GC but am never gonna hold my breath for them. I know we all have felt like we are pulling teeth. I would like to say I was just barely holding on to hope and it did take me 6 months from my last redemption to make the 1800 points for another redemption since I was just trying to keep the account open. I have lost confidence in them and it is very doubtful that I will ever make a purchase through them again. The DO need to take a lesson from MyPoints!! I really hope more of you get your prizes!!

Please let us know if your prize has not been received within 10 business days.

Have also heard a random story here and there of people being paid by Memolink. (Have still heard many, MANY more of people still waiting over a year.)
A report just came out about online companies' compliance with can-spam, and out of 1,057 companies surveyed, only THREE companies were found to be actively sending out unsolicited commercial email with a non-working (or non-existent) unsubscribe function. And guess what? Memolink was one of the three.
The report is here, if you want to read it: http://www.arialsoftware.com/whitepapers/CANSPAMComplianceAudit2004.pdf
Keep in mind that AT THE SAME TIME Memolink has been giving all these excuses for non-payment, their CEO says on his bio for his other company, Quentrix, that Memolink has been "brought to profitability." http://www.quentrix.com/about/management1.cfm
This company is just plain ridiculous. How they get away with this is beyond me.

I certainly am not surprised about the can-spam report. I am also mildly amused about the "profitablity" claim of the CEO. While it has not happened to me personally, Memolink has cancelled memberships of some of my family and friends....all of whom were owed GC's!! What an easy way to get out of the red!! Well, I still do not plan on making purchases through them but I still do occasionally log in just to keep the account going since they still owe me. I will never trust them again. They have lost my confidence for sure!!
Thanks for the news on the reports!!! Very interesting an amusing.

I just thought I would mention this. I ordered another $10 GC from them 6/3 and I have not been holding my breath. I am not even wasting my time asking them where it is....well, yesterday, 7/31 I got one of those long winded update emails from them which is already posted in the beginning of this thread. It is the same, word for word. They must just be sending them out to everyone who has ordered a GC to stave off the many "where is my prize" requests from everyone!!!
Well, they have their form mails down pat...one would think that they could get their redemptions in order!!!

As I stated in the above entry, on 7/31 I received the same old form letter that I entered much earlier in this thread....and I didnt even contact them to find out where my overdue GC was. I assumed that they were just automatically sending it out to everyone they owe. Well today I received this correction email from them. Apparently it was an accident that they sent the "same old same old" email out by mistake.

Discarded e-mail message
From: memomail@mailapp2.memolink.net(Memomail) Date: Mon, Aug 2, 2004, Subject: Memolink Correction
You may have received an email from Memolink in the last week, with the subject line: Memolink Prize Update. This email was set up in our mailer system as a "test" to go to a single Memolink employee, but accidentally mailed to many members. We do apologize for the confusion. This is an older letter that we have been sending to some members regarding their delayed prizes. We are happy to say that it doesn't apply to our newer and active members, unfortunately it applies to some members that have prizes outstanding from 2001 through 2003, and were delayed due to non-payment from many of our advertisers.
If you are a new or active member, you've seen your older prizes arriving and new prizes being shipped sometimes as quickly as four weeks. While we are still recovering from the financial difficulties we had in the past years, Memolink is well on its way to having prizes shipped within four to six weeks, instead of the 12 weeks currently stated on the site.
We do appreciate your understanding, and we hope you continue to visit us at www.memolink.com. We have many great offers recently added to the site, including 200 shopping offers! And don't forget to check out the all the new coupons in the Visit Websites area of Memolink.com.
Again, we do apologize for any confusion our accidental mailing caused. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. Enjoy your week.

I would also like to point out that their Lucky Points statement that they pay out in 2-4 weeks is a load of baloney too. Glad to hear you got your GC though. At least with Chris Cool's site, it's only 50 cents...not *that* big of a deal. But losing a larger amount, that's when I get mad. I sent an e-mail to Chris Cool and never got a response from him as to why I haven't gotten paid.
As for Send More Info, this will be my second check from them. With Memolink, I've been waiting over a year for the check, so I'll definately be keeping an eye out on my mailbox for it.
Maniac Mail is back up and running again, but the webmaster is behind in payments and he says that he's only going to start out with partial payouts for those who requested. Guess I'll have to stay in that one longer than I planned. I'm also waiting for the first of the month in order to request payout from Spiderman E-mails. I've heard that other sites in the Dragone family don't pay, so I'll have to wait and see if I actually get paid from them.

Chris Cool owes me over $5 for MoparPower. Still I know that is not alot of money, but it is a LOT of clicking. Not to mention the time, effort and money / earnings used to promote the program to get the few referrals that I do have. It just really p*ss*s me off that he doesn't even bother to answer my emails or PMs, yet claims to be "sustainable" in his paid emails and in the forums. Payout is $1 at 1000levels but there is no button to redeem on the redemption page and all emails for support go unanswered regarding that. Yet he still continues to send paid emails from 1000levels. I just got an e-mail from Memolink that my prize shipped yesterday ($10 check). I ordered it on 4/13/04. I had sent them an e-mail a month ago, and they said it would ship within 60 days. Two days ago, I decided I had had enough, and sent another e-mail. They replied and said it would be shipped in the next payment shipment. Sure enough, it came yesterday.
So on the "glass is half-full" side, I am pleased that the WM replied to my e-mails within hours, and that they finally got the payment out. So for those of you out there looking for your cash, be polite but firm, and don't give up.

I finally got my $20 Webcertificate after waiting for over a year. In the meantime, I gave up on them in disgust and stopped clicking on their links for a few months. During that time they took away all my accumulated points (nearly enough for another Webcertificate!). So I was very surprised when I actually received the one originally requested over a year ago.
Still, I don't like the way they operate. They can't expect people to continue participating when they do not issue the promised rewards in a reasonable period of time.
I'll just stick with mypoints and ebates because they pay out as promised and when promised.

Glad you finally got your $25. It sure gets tiresome waiting forever for whats owed to us. I just unsubbed from BigDollarMail with them owing me $50 and Nickel clicks with them owing me $100. All I kept getting was excuses from one and never got an answer from the other one. :)

I've contacted them 3 times.
I've gotten a "wait 60 days" response each time.
I requested my prize on 11/9/2004
It's been well past the 12-16 weeks they said it would take.
Why would it take 12-16 weeks to ship a gift card?
My guess is they NEVER intend to ship prizes, and hope people will simply forget.
Interstingly, a friend of mine requested the same prize as I did, and he did it about a week after I did.
He got his prize about a month ago. Well before the 16 week deadline.
He was a much more "active" member of memolink than I was.
He completed surveys and trivia questions and participated in the lottery they run nearly every day.
I participated once in a while.
Maybe that's how they choose who they pay out to - the people who log in / participate a lot, since they are more likely to remember that they're supposed to get a prize.
I have contacted the Better Business Bureau about this.

Memolink just absolutly NEVER fails to amaze me!!! Of late they have updated the site so it is much easier to navigate. Yay for that but here is the downside...they have changed their point system!!! I was within 400 points of my prize. A few days back I signed up for something off of their email (I beleive it was called getpaidtotry.com) and it offered 200 points. So, silly me, I am thinking..."YAY, now I am within about 200 points of a prize!!"...and lo and behold today when I go on the site it says I need over 5000 points til I am eligible. I feel so deceived!!! For ages we have all been working off of a point system that they up and change!! Seems to me that the Memolink management cares more about their bottom line than they do about their members!!! Well, can always blame it on myself because I have been complaining about them for ages but I am still a member!!! I guess I naively keep thinking they are okay because I eventually always get the prize I ordered, even if it takes a year or more. I suggest you all go and check out your accounts if you havent for a week or so.

True, they have increased the # of points required to earn prizes, however, I also noticed that they have increased the # of points earned for offers also. I'm going to wait and see before deciding whether they have improved the program or not. I wasn't too happy with them before.
Did anybody else notice that you are now required to login to your account every 30 days or else you lose all of your points?

i hate to tell you this but getpaidtotry.com is a major ripoff.
i belonged to them back in march and over a month ago they disappeared (with 100 dollars of my money), then recently they re-appeared and i got 2 payments and now they owe me again over 100.00 and when i emailed them and told them to pay up they ignored me, i even had them prominant on my web page, so emailed them today asking to be paid again for this 100 bucks they owed me, the email was returned with the satement i had been refused access to thier email server and when i tried loggin in i was refused.
so now i am out 200 bucks with them.
i have of course removed them from my site
i would NOT get involved. i also emailed memolink about them but got no repy about it. so i don't know and i have 2 10 dollar checks waiting to be maile now over A month from memolink and am beginning to see that i may as well let my breath out now :)

WOW.
I already figured after a week that memolink was a waste of time.
 Now after reading this, I'm happy that I made the right move.
