View Full Version : Review Mec-Co-Op

I think you should review the seal of approval on this program.
You should check out some of the condescending, rude comments and often down right lies she is saying. I am disgusted with her behavior. She's a strange one who is lashing out at anyone who mentions anything negative about her program.
I think a "Seal of Approval" should merit "behavior conduct" voting too. I would like to think that a "Seal of Approval" program would rate as having very high standards. I don't believe being verbally abusive in a message group is worthy of praise.
There are dozens of other programs at least worthly of a mention, is this site pretty much dead or are sites still being reviewed and voted on?

Can you give us some examples of her "condescending, rude comments and often down right lies she is saying"???
Because I have been a member of hers for over a year and I believe the program has gotten better in the past few monthes. To be brutal honest, I think, some members do not like her approach when it comes to sending out warnings to EVERYBODY.
But I know they aren't intended for me---so I read and delete---so NO skin of my back.
I like the program now---other than missing out on alot of limited clicks--but that is because I am not sitting at my desk "waiting" for new emails to get here----mmmm--maybe I should:hehe:
PLease, give us some examples??

I was just referring to the comments she made on this thread:

I'm afraid I don't have time to give examples, it would take all day!
It's doesn't really matter though - I'm not a member, never have been, don't plan too.
For most people doing these programs, all that matters is the money, but for me I just think that there are too many people out there with poor ethics and morals, and I will not support that behavior. Life is just too short to deal with petty people.
I'm off my soapbox. Good luck in all you do.

You aren't a member:stupid:
Well---I have almost $10 in my account that says---when I push that redemption button I will get paid---because I followed Carole's instructions!!!!

Me too don't think all 'bout the money... currently mec-co-op only sends one email a day, and sometimes per-two days, and most of them are Sales Ads and announcements...
but I have no intention on leaving mec right now, I feel safe in it... if it keep going down in quality (like all PTR that listed in the seal of approval) I still won't leave it :D
too many people with poor ethics and morals? that's correct :D too many people can only see from their side, they never position themselves on others, cannot respect older people, and they cannot respect others with different personality.
I prefer such a rude and blunt wm but very honest and very dedicated to her work, than wm with nice words and classy site but full of tricks.
about cust. support in the seal of approval rating, I agree if "rudeness" is considered... but if I'm the jury, I still gives high rating on it (with note) since she'll always try to answer and satisfy her customer - with her on way.

Thank you for your post, but it needs one clarification FYI
I don't send one mail per day????
I've been sending 25cents - 30cents per day in search mails.
Either you are not interested in searching which is why you only get one or two, or you are in a country not allowed to search .
At 30 cents per day, many members are cashing out 2-3 times per month just on the paid mails.
But there's also the paid2click, and the paid2signup section and many are cashing out every 7-10 days.
I can only send what the advertisers send me.
I am no longer involved in any other paid2read sites. I'm too busy with my own and got sick of nickle and diming other webmasters.
So all i send out myself are search mails.
Lately that's all anyone's sending 99% of the time.
So if you can search, (live in a search allowed country) and want to make a few bucks a month, then update your userinfo page and check the search box.

I've been a member of this site for awhile now and I love it?
With all the mail she's been sending, I've been able to cash out every couple weeks and it only takes a few hours (if that) to receive my money?
This is one site I'm sticking with?
I think before you go saying bad things about a site, you should at least be a member so you know whats going on?

here's my inbox today:
Saturday, October 25, 2003 9:18 AM Ad Sales
Saturday, October 25, 2003 9:28 AM Targetted Ad Sale
Saturday, October 25, 2003 9:48 AM 1cent to 500 (missed this one, lol)
Saturday, October 25, 2003 10:16 AM New Interest added (about the "work at home interest")
right now is oct 25, 11.00 PM - checked inbox 5 minutes ago
that's all... the ptc page does have a couple cash banner, but only around 0.1 cents each...
but it's okay, I know I cannot do searches and maybe there're some priority on sending the emails (upgraded members first?), I can still earn from the autosurf anyway, and it's stable, not like other sites.
taxlady
25th October 2003, 17:26
There is no such priority.
Of course search mails are only sent to members from countries allowed to search that have checked search as an option.
All other mails have been sent to all members, with exception of those Ad sale mails. I have added an interest Ad Sales, and i only send to those who checked the box, so that i don't bother those not interested as i do send them every day.
If i didn't the ads would slow down.
It's well known in any sales force that persistance is the key to success. It takes 10 no's to get a yes etc.
Unfortunately you do not attract every advertiser by sending just one e-mail, some will respond to the first, and others won't respond till they see it 10 times.
In the case of ad sales, a lot don't save the mail for future reference and need to see it on a daily basis when they are read to advertise.
It's unfortunate you can't search, I'm sorry, as you're such a strong supporter, i'd love to see you make more money.
I hope you're using the auto-surfer to promote your other programs and build downlines.
I wish i had more other type mails to send, but i can only send what the advertisers pay for and of course my own. And all i'm involved in right now are search engines (first time in years, i'm actually making a few bucks)...

I was away for a few weeks and come back to you are not in our database.
30 days inactivity per terms, not 2 weeks.....................
2 e-mails to her, no reply as to why i have no account, i do the searches sent, etc, so why do i no longer have an account after i been with them for so long???????????????
DO NOT DELEATE FOLKS CAUSE THEY ARE AWAY FROM COMPUTER AND NOT CHECKING MAILS DAILY UNTILL 30 DAYS HAVE PASSED, IN MY CASE WHICH HAD SURELY NOT BEEN 30 DAYS!

No reply?
How come i have 3 replies to you in my send box, and each has another reply from you?
This was my first reply to you.
and you responded to it.
You were deleted for one of these reasons, not necessarily 30 days inactivity.
THere are many reasons why accounts get deleted.
30 days inactivity is just one reason.
Accounts get deleted for:
1.30 days inactivity, or 90 days for gold members
2.
multiple accounts on same computer
3.
multiple signups in paid2signup page, with impropper confirmation mail
pasted or none pasted
4.
Spamming me with offers
5.
Sending me cuss mails
6.
Receiving and clicking the link asking you to update your information if you
live in a country not allowed to search and ignoring the request. The fact
you clicked means you ignored the warning that i would delete the account.
In that case, all you'd have had to do is uncheck search as requested.
7.
Sending a link for the auto-surfer for one of your other surf exchanges.
Once an account is deleted, it cannot be restored.
8. Abusive reporting on the Auto-surfer when the url's are good, this is very annoying and costs me hours of my valuable time for nothing.
Consistant de-activation of good url's is vandalism and that's what you do when you report a url for abuse, you are de-activating it, and i have to re-activate it.
9. Submitting redemptions for ads constantly with no ad copy.
(another waste of my time, and it's spam if you are just doing it for fun)
I do not delete accounts without good reason, and if yours was deleted it
was for one of the above reasons.

Oh, i will just respond to the e-mail you just sent me and keep this out of here, :)

Linda,
First of all, i appologize, it wasn't you i had 5 e-mails back and forth on the subject. That was also a Linda, so i thought it was you, but when i checked my sent folder, the e-mails were different than the last one i got from you.
My reply to you was exactly what i posted here.
I don't delete accounts for the fun of it.
I never got any other e-mail from you other than the one i replied to and i got it the same day (yesterday) as your post here.
As far as i'm concerned, and this may or may not be the case here, i totally resent people running and posting in the forum before giving me a chance to explain anything or rectify a situation via e-mail.
You say you did none of the above, i said you had to, as i wouldn't just delete accounts for no reason whatsoever.
I don't keep records when doing deleteions as there are too many and i use what i posted here as a standard reply.
Most members won't admit when they did something anyway, it is always the webmaster's fault in their eyes.
But because you did say you would handle this by e-mail and keep it out of here, you sound to me, like a person i'd miss as a member.
I assume you took it here because you did e-mail me a few times with no response. SInce i do use mailwasher to blacklist spam, it's possible somehow i have you blocked but i got your last one, not using mailwasher and don't have you blocked in outlook.
I use mailwasher first thing in the morning when i get the bulk of my mail and most of my spam etc.
So i'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt here.
re-sign up. e-mail me with your username, and what you think was in your account at the time of deletion and i'll put it back.
Thanks
Carole

I sent my info. to you thru the contact me page, please let me know if you get it or not, thanks.
Well, I do thank you for taking the time to make things right for me, Only thing I can think happened is maybe a full mail-box because I was away a few weeks, I have never cheated a program, never will. Not worth a few cents to my mind having to live with it, lol.
I do not blame any webmaster for doing deleations, when done right and when it is to better the program and get rid of the bad apples, so I would admit if I did wrong, I just do not see anything in what you sent me that I might have done, I had been away for 2 weeks or better. Thanks again.
I will resign up because I love your program, it has been very good to me as have you, as yes, the reason I posted here is I waited for over a week for a response and never got one, thanks for keeping an eye on the forums here, without it, things might still be messed up,lol.

Good ole taxlady, you are the best. Down to earth, tough, and honest enough to admit mistakes.
And, guess what folks? It's the best place to place ads. My first ad ($10) got me 13 referrals!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks.
I'm honest, i'm sincere, i'm not perfect. I make a few mistakes only because i care enough about members to give them plenty of time to make necessary changes to their info etc.
Unfortunately the whiners don't see it that way. They think because i have a site, i must cater to their every whim etc.
I know i'll get slack for this post, but so be it.
The facts are:
There are over 300 sites, probably more than 400 sites that i'm competing with for ads.
Without ads, there are no links for anyone to click.
Members are very fickle. Go 3-4 days without ads, and they'll forget you exist.
They just love clicking for those pennies.
Yes i tell it like it is: it's called honesty, and i do pride myself on my ability to tell it like it is, and take the heat that i know will come.
Personally, i feel if someone doesn't like the way i do business, they can take it elsewhere.
I don't say this to offend anyone, or be rude, i'm just telling it the way i see it.
I make certain requests of members such as asking those from india , china , japan, poland to change thier country to something i told them to.
I gave them a 5cent paid link.
Those that clicked the link and didn't make the change, were deleted.
My proof that they received the mail is the fact they clicked the link.
THis time i didn't give them any extra time. I said do it NOW or be deleted.
I still get slack over it. Shoulda given them time,
Claim i'm singling out certain countries etc.
The fact is unfortunately 99% of the cheaters i've caught are from those countries.
99% of the one's who obviously don't read/speak english are from those countries.
I want to keep those who do read/speak english. I want to keep those who do follow simple directions.
One even had written me from Poland, saying he will not lie.
Who would he be lying to? me?????? I asked him to do the change. Well the choice was his not to make the change to another country, that i asked him to, so he got deleted, now i'm the bad guy.
What gets me, is i started my e-mail to Polish members, saying "i'm certainly not prejudice" I myself am of polish decent.
Both my parents came from poland.
So why then do i get nasties from those deleted telling me i hate polish people?
Or that i wanted to get rid of them.
Some of my best advertisers are from China and Japan.
Why would i single them out?
I made a simple request. I made sure i sent it out as a 5cent paid link, that way i would only delete those that read the mail (or clicked the link)
if they clicked, they were warned. If they couldn't read it, then my advertisers don't need them, if they ignored it or took the i'll do it later attitude, i deleted them as i said i would.
I'm well aware that when you do deletions on a large scale, you can delete someone you really wouldn't want to under normal circumstances, but i said i would and i did.
I don't make exceptions. I do what i do to all concerned.
The solution is a simple one. Do what's requested and you remain a member.
Unfortunately there are some that take it personal. I'm aware of that, it's human nature. But i do what's best for all members/advertisers and my site is a success, so i must be doing something right.
Advertisers are repeating ads on a weekly basis, and more and more members are advertising on a trial basis, satisfied and come back for more.
So to those who don't like the way i do business, all i can say is "It's my site, and if you don't like the way i run it, there are 400 more you can take risks with" and i say risks, because so many will never pay . A few will, there are quite a few with good reputations. There are a few that have high payouts but make a few random payouts now and then to people they know will come to the forums and say "I got paid" so people see it and think, hey this is a good one to join.
Believe it or not, in comparrison to the thousands i have paid, only a handfull will come and post. I know that, i wish it were different, but when i make payouts, i pay everyone entitled whether they post or not.
They earned it.
I don't play head games, i don't make empty promisses. I do my job and i expect members to do theirs.
So many think all their job is is to click links, so many don't bother reading, they just wait for the timer to expire.
Some even try using crazybrowser or avante so they don't even have to look at the site.
I banned those browsers, and believe me i get plenty of complaints from whiners...They say they look at each and every site eventually before closing the browser. WHo are they trying to kid? Certainly not me, or the advertisers.
My #1 goal is to insure my advertisers get their money's worth.
#2 is to pay those members who deserve to be paid.
In doing so, i'm sure i've paid a few cheaters but eventually i do find them.
When i state a fact like "99% of my cheaters come from" it doesn't mean i accused each and every member of cheating, but like i said, some take everything i say personal.
All i do is state a fact.
For every unhappy member, i have hundreds of happy ones.
I can't please everyone, and i don't intend to cater to anyone.
It's a simple site, read the mail, click the link, look at the offer, if it interests you sign up. If it doesn't you get paid anyway. But at least take the time to read.
When i send out mails making certain requests, and that request goes ignored, why should i believe you are reading the other mails/offers etc.?
You think it doesn't hurt?
It does. But i take the steps necessary for the survival of my site.
Those that are reaching payout every 10-15 days realize this.
Those that are advertising weekly realize this.
Those that think i have to cater to every whim, "Think again".
I do my job, i expect members to do theirs. Very simple..
Thanks for reading and letting me blow off a bit of steam...hehe
And no, i don't take anything personal......just in case some of you think i do.

I agree with the above. This is a superioprogram with good money making potential and I think the WM is great. You can't run any kind of business without stepping on a few toes and making some people mad. That's just the way the world is. some of the people i agree take what is said in the e mails to everyone personally when it isnt intended. It is sent to all members. My member name on this program is frenchy38 by the way wm. Cheers to you!!
