Greetings all PTR WMs....

I know we all (well, most of us :p ) hate searches unless we REALLY need to find something. I don't mind searching for a good cause or if I have time. However, on ALL the PTRs I belong to, I have made it a point NOT to check Search and NOT to check Reference. Yet, at least half the emails I get have at least one search tucked into it somewhere, someone wanting me to sign up as their downline. Some emails come through and they are ALL searches. I thought the whole purpose of NOT checking an interest was to avoid getting emails about that interest. If not, why bother having it????? :\ If you can't figure out how to avoid sending searches to members who don't want searches, PLEASE at least put "Search - cash" or "Search - points" in the subject line and let us make the choice. After I wade through all the top sponsors and non-paid links, I don't want to be rewarded with a $0.001 search link.
The other little sneaky is the mystery/secret link that when you click on it, leads you to a search page. And once there, I feel obligated to search... I also feel tricked and peeved about being tricked. You send me a 1 cent search, I WILL search. ;) You send me a $0.001 search, and I will NOT search.
Thanks so much for taking the time to read.... now click on this link.....

I ,too agree with what Texaspepper has wriiten about the searches. It appears to me that within the past month almost all the PTR or PTC sites are turning into a great big seach horror :\ . At first it was just a few sites that asked you to perform a few searches for them, but now it appears that everytime I click on a site it is a search click ( 80% ) at least. What is happening...?? is it the new rage out there in the PTR and PTC's world to be a search affiliate?? Just wondering if anyone else has notice the big increase of searches, also.

There's another discussion concerning searches, involving at least two program owners and several other members, if you would care to join in.

The thread is:
