This is not exactly earth-shattering in the grand scheme of things, but I was just wondering if avatars were ever going to be enabled on this board?

There are some in use, but I think you hafta PM Rob to get him to fix it for you. I've never taken the time; heck, I can't even figure out how to make these blasted smilees work, lol. Kinda miss part of my signature that I use at other forums, too; but, one can't have everything.

Thanks Ron and Rob. FYI, here is what the avatar section says on this forum:

Avatars are small graphical images that you may choose in your profile. They are displayed below your username on all posts that you make. You can select the image that best describes yourself from your profile options.

Here's the list of currently available avatars:
(note by me: the "list" area is blank)

If you have more than 25 posts, you may also specify your own custom avatar.

Ron: here is a smiley lesson just for you...lol...move your cursor over a smiley on the left and you'll see a word (i.e. silly)...to make that smiley appear, just type that word enclosed in colons, like so :silly:

This one :hehe: is : hehe : without the spaces.

WooHoo -- now I've got an avatar too! (sometimes it doesn't take much to make me happy...lol).

I guess it doesn't work until you reach the magic 25 post mark because then you're able to do a custom av either via link or from your own computer.
