Ok so you ban a member for having an ip the same as many accounts uve banned in the past. day after day this ip shows up on a new accts. so u get smart and send the paypal address on file one penny to verify the name. usually it comes up as lets say kevin lee. however in this instance that test resulted in a diff name.

the member sends in a TT asking why he was banned. u go back and forth explaining to him that one of the MANY ip addys his acct shows in the last few days matches that of a previoulsy banned acct.

his explanation is he has 2 pcs inside his house on his network so thats why he has multiple ip. which isnt true btw. same wireless network will have the same ip regardless of how many pcs are on it.

so u want to give the benefit of doubt and tell the guy that if h screenshots his DL or id card to prove identity u will allow him back. this raises a huge amount of resistance from the banned member. h demands proof that he cheated and only offers to scan and send a piece of mail he has received w that name on it. after u find his resistance fishy and explain to him that until you get picture proof he is who he claims, that he remains banned. i see no reason to give the guy the list of 18 ip addresses his acct shows in a 3 day period after all it was my site that was scammed. not my site scamming the member right. upon hearing this he threatens to go tell gptboycott that this is a scam site.

so my question is simple. do i unban this kid or do i go w the factual information that shiftcode shows and my gut feeling? and if he does in fact report a bogus filing here w gptb what happens?

I'd add his IP to the ban list. He shouldn't be getting through if its the same IP logging in.

If not keep banning.

Something isn't right with this member.

Are the IPs from the area his address is?
