I have been waiting for 2 gift certificates from them, one since last fall. I have emailed them with no response. Has anyone else had problems with them?

Yes I have had the same problems. One time I waited over a year to get one of my gift certificates. They do pay up but they are very slow and you have to keep bugging them. Good Luck

They also have in their toss that it will take up to 6 to 12 weeks maybe longer to check if people are cheating, or frauding the sites.

It sure would be nice if they would read this thread to understand that we are not happy with the amount of time that it takes to get a payment from them!!

Memolink finally paid me ($20 check). It took over 6 months, but I did receive my money. I wouldn't call them a scam. But, they are among the dozens of GPT companies that pay at a glacial pace.

To those whose Memolink prize orders remain unfulfilled, have you e-mailed customer support via the website's form? I did so and received a response within about 4-5 days. I had my check within 4 weeks afterward. It couldn't hurt to try. Good luck to everyone.

Yes I emailed them, havent gotten a responce yet but im sure I will soon. Also when I emailed them I already had enough to redeem for another 10.00 gift certificate, cource now that will be another 6 month wait LOL at least they have lots of ways to earn money (certificates) I think they have a lot of members and that is why it takes so long and maybe the companys they are advertising take a while to pay them?

I also have had problems with memolink. I agree it does help to email them. You have to be persistent though. It seems like they get tired of the emails and finally send the reward. My latest beef, I cashed in enough for a $50 gift certificate (back in November 2002) and in April received only $25. This was only after sending several emails asking where it was. Now I have emailed them again asking why it was only for $25. (sigh)
Oh well, guess I will just keep emailing them. Maybe I will get the $50 by Christmas (probably not Christmas 2003 though).

I'm 5 points away from a $15 webcertificate. I should be requesting payout tomorrow. Hopefully, WCs are paid faster than checks. I doubt it though. I'll wait the usual 4 months and hopefully be able to cash out again by then.

But I am happy he responded to my email, not like some of the programs that never answer any emails.

I got a reply from them after my second email (but it was a reply to my first) and it was the same exact email you got. got a new responce:

Dear debra,

Memolink.com is back and we come bearing prizes!!! Many of our members, including you, have been waiting for prizes that were earned quite some time ago. While we have struggled to deliver these prizes on time, we were unable to keep up with the amount of gift certificates we owe to our members. That has all changed!!

In my last email, I explained to you some of the financial challenges Memolink and others in the dot com industry were facing. Unfortunately, in the last three years, many of our Internet based advertisers have gone out of business. These companies failed to pay for many of the offers you completed on Memolink.com and thus caused a financial strain that we have worked hard to overcome. It was always our intention to continue to pay our members, no matter what the cost. With a lot of hard work and perseverance, we have found a way to make good on our promises. We are excited to announce that ALL of the old prize orders will be filled this summer!

With so many prizes going out in the next couple of months, we need your help. We want to make sure that your prize is exactly what you want, and shipped to the correct address.

Please paste this link into your browser to view your prize order(s) and the shipping information we have on file. If you need to change your mailing address, please do so at this time. You may also cancel this prize and have the points added back to your account. If you should choose to delete your prize order and place another order for a different prize, please feel confident that your order will be filled within 12 weeks of your order. Once we have processed and filled all these older prizes, we will have our fulfillment and shipping times back down to 4 weeks.

guess it is still wait and see.

My prize order says it is fulfilled on the 13th of this month, but I don't think I should wait another four weeks when I already waited for two months.

Plus, I e-mailed Mark of Memolink last month about my concerns, and gave him a link to this thread. So, maybe my e-mail got their attention as well?

lol I think they said in my quote that they got ripped off from their advertisers but where still paying their members , that is why it took so long. we have all emailed them of our concerns, some of us numerouse times and they have always answered (sometimes a while later, but they do ansswer) now we just haver to see how long it really takes to get the cards. I have been waiting for one since december 2, 2002, so I should be getting it soon from what the last email says, and then hopefully the one I ordered in may 5th I should be getting in about 12 more weeks? Then hopefully we will get orders in about 4 weeks (or untill another advertiser rips them off?) My points is still my number one points place because they pay way faster then this. Blink is another one that I put a order in at the same time as memolink (but for a higher amount, 25.00) and I am stillw aiting on them to, did get a reply but it didnt give me a expected arival time)

To all of you who believe that Memolink is not a scam, please read my (horror) story:

My story begins on Sept. 27, 2002, almost a year ago. I requested my $100 GC for Walmart. After many emails, my memolink account history says that it was filled on January 2, 2003. Well, it's now July. I too have received many of the same emails from them that most of you have. The latest one said that my GC was mailed on July 8, and should be at my house in a couple of days. Yeah, right. Now over a week later and it still isn't here (big surprise!). I just sent them off another email letting them know that if it's not physically in my hands in another week, I'm going to take further action against them. Oh, and I also have another $50 GC that I requested from them on April 11. It was supposedly filled on July 10, they sent me an email saying that it will be another four weeks until I have it, but I'm not betting on it. I've had it with these jerks, and I hope one of them are reading this.

ruhappytoseeme
17th July 2003, 10:05
if you got that saying it was mailed you will be getting it any day now because I got mine on tuesday. And along with the card I got a page long appoligy and was also told if I stay with them I will be upgraded to a gold member at no cost and that will give even better benifits and I am sure you will get that letter too. In the past, when I first started with them, they payed much faster, but I believe one of their sponcers didnt pay them or maybe it was more then one and they fell behind in payments but sooner or latter they willl pay, I dont believe they are a scam just that they had some bad times and things got all messed up. If you dont recieve your card by friday I would email them again but I bet you get it. Only time will tell if things will get better. The card I jsut got is from december, now I am waiting on one from may, we will see how long that takes and any subsequent orders. I was planning on staying even before the letter telling me about gold as I have aother card im waiting on so the gold membership is a nice bonus :) Good luck to you, I hope you get your card soon.

sheriera
17th July 2003, 11:45
Thanks for your encouraging reply! I also was told I would be upgraded at no cost, it was in the email they sent last month, the one explaining about how they were having trouble with their sponsors paying them. I hope you're right, but I'm not holding my breath!

keep us posted, it took about 4 working days since the day I got the email till the day I got the card (the email saying it was sent out)I think once they get the past debt cleared things will get better, one good thing is , they didnt ``lose`` our accounts suddenly, when they ran out of money (cough sound familiar?) or um get a new owner, cough cough, and put our earnings back to 0 ;) I believe you will get your cards, just slow as a turtle ;) Good luck to you :)

It didn't come in the mail today either, not that I really thought it would be. I'll let you know if I ever get it, or if I end up having to report them. Well, they supposedly sent out my reward on July 8, that's 17 days and I still haven't seen any sign of it. They replied to my last email saying that I should have already received it, I replied that I haven't, and they, of course, haven't responded to that. I think the problem is with their local post office...somebody there stealing envelopes with "memolink" in the corner, because about half the people I've referred to memolink have the same story. Wait forever for it to be filled, then memolink says they sent it, wait a couple weeks or longer for it, emailed memolink, got an email back with a cheery"you should've gotten that by now!", emailed ml back saying, "No sh-- sherlock! but it still ain't here!" and finally got an email back from ml with an affadaivit to fill oput saying they didn't get it;emailed affadaivit, got reply back the next day, received the gc within a week.

And people wonder why members are grumpy, lol!

My advice is, when you sign into ml, hit"customer service" down towards the bottom, then hit "View History", because a lot of you who think you're not getting an answer are, but your spam filters are dumping them...any and all answers from memolink will be in that "view history" file.

sheriera, you will have to do what my friends did, let them know you didn't get it, check your "view history" till tey answer, then fill out the affadaivit. Hope this helps.

sheriera
27th August 2003, 14:18
I finally did get my $50 gc, but I have to fill out the "I didn't get it" form for my $100 one. I hope it works! I'm not quite as mad at them now, but I'll never request a prize that big again!

freecashspace
27th August 2003, 19:39
Well it sounds like Memolink is finally starting to deliver prizes in a more timely fashion. Congratulations to all of you who have received your prizes.

I recently received an Amazon GC I requested in Dec. 2002, and I am nearly ready to request another one. Hopefully Memolink are getting their problems sorted out and will send the next GC much faster.

Oh a separate note, for those of you who received your "free upgrade"to MemoGold, what do you think of it?

So far all it means to me is that I'm earning 10% more points than before, which is a nice bonus, but not much.

Also, I was wondering how many people are just doing the free points and how many people earn points through shopping. When I first joined, I did a bit of shopping through them, but I have to admit now I mostly just get the free points.

Cheers,

Wil

I recently e-mailed memolink regarding my $15 WebCertificate redemption which was listed as "filled" as of August 15, 2003. I still have not received it. No big surprise there. Finally, after 2 e-mails to Cust. Serv., I received a reply stating that I would be e-mailed my W/C when their next batch goes out (whenever that might be). I also will be upgraded, as of November 1, to a MemoGold member. I did some research and found that this is only good for an extra couple of points per day and somewhat faster redemptions (5 months instead of 6?). Also, it expires in 6 months unless I accumulate 10,000 points. As if that's going to happen. Memolink is just one of many sites that pay...at a glacial pace.

22nd October 2003, 02:32
The lightning round trivia is good for 22 points daily, if you're REALLY fast and can answer them all correctly, lol.

If you're a memogold member you can also hit "communities" and they're showing where you can get a $25 walmart card in november for 4000 points, which is a 300 point discount...too bad I'm nowhere near that right now :(

I like the memogold extra points, but on the old page you could see idf you had a survey, websites to visit, or trivia to answer at a glance...with mg you have to click for each page to see if anything is actually there.

Hi All,

I admit that I've had problems with MemoLink not delivering fast enough to suit me in the past but I have received at least one gift certificate since the new people took over and I have just earned enough to ask for another one in the past couple days.

I think that those who haven't received their rewards should check to see if their points have been subtracted and then, if they have, contact member support. Memolink seems to be one of the best programs when stacked up against some of the others and I've never once had trouble with them at least communicating with me. As a side note, I can also say that they have always been prompt and courteous with me if I had questions or concerns.

jtaylor75
6th November 2003, 21:54
I contacted them and, after waiting a month, got a response saying, essentially, "the check's in the mail." Yeah, ok. I also was upgraded to MemoGold for 6 months. All I really want is my WebCertificate. It's due to be sent with their next batch of orders, whenever that is. I have no idea. What irks me is that I have to e-mail them EVERY time to remind them that I made a redemption months ago. I wish they would just be honest. Oh well, I wish I could marry a supermodel too. LOL

Just as a side note, what I generally do when I order something with my points with Memolink or any other such site is print out the request confirmation and pin it on my calendar for the month it is due to arrive. If several days pass the scheduled arrival date and nothing happens, I inquire then, giving the information they gave to me as confirmation, etc. A year or so ago, Memolink was really behind but when the new owners took over they asked me if I still wanted my ten bucks or if I wanted my points back. I told them I wanted the money and they sent it a couple weeks later. Since then, I've acquired at least two gift certificates and have another one on the way.

Were you aware that you have to click on the links in their paid mails to accumulate points? Did you know about the daily trivia and the daily five point click off the web page. You can also sign up for some free things that stack up quite a few points too. As for the lightening round trivia, I am way too dumb to get 22 points a day but I usually get anywhere between 5 and 10. Hopefully, they will repeat the questions I missed one day so I can take another "guess." LOL

Hello everyone i came here to look at something else and i saw the thread for memolink and i had to put my 2 cents in, lol:D
first i would like to say, i've been paid 3 times by memolink, and yes i had to wait awhile the last time:alien:
but because i had to wait memolink wrote me an email and apologized for my wait and as a bonus for waiting they gave me a complimentory gold membership:p
i didnt even know they had gold membership, what this means is that i make more money with each thing i do no matter what it is, every point is now 1.5 points etc:) plus i have more earning offers available to me,
i dont know about anyone else, but i am pretty pleased with how everything worked out for me
i didnt cash out for gift certificates i cashed out for cash (cheques) and i DID recieve them 3 times
i certainly have nothing to complain about at all, i dont know why everyone else is having a problem, i have written to them several times and they have ALWAYS written back to me, Promtly, ive never waited for a reply, ive also never been rude to them either
i guess the saying you get more with honey than with vinegar is true, lol:p
i wish everyone luck and i highly suggest that you write to customer service and dont be hostile at all, im sure you will get a reply, i could maybe see complaining about not recieving rewards etc, but to say they dont repy i find that hard to believe, no matter how small my request or question was they ALWAYS replied back with-in days too'
good luck to you all and merry xmas too

STARR--that happened to me too. All you had to do was claim the membership. I thought it was nice of them and those extra points sure helped the next payout stack up faster.

I like them. They are one of the programs I've belonged to longest.

I'm still waiting for the last payout I asked for but I have no doubt that it will show up one day. If I'm not mistaken, they don't take out the points until they send the payment so that is the tip-off that something is on the way.

wtg stashu, great to hear i'm not the only one who got a gold membership and yes it really does help bring your totals up alot
i have a question for you, do you still get the memolink emails and if you click on the links you get an additional 2 points for each link??
they used to send out tons per day, but now only send out 1 per day, if your lucky, i used to love getting those cuz they really helped build up my total, but now i find they send so few out it barely helps the totals, lol
just wondering if its just me or is everyone else not getting many?? and some of the emails dont evn have links that work
let me know stashu
thanks alot and merry xmas to all:cool: :) :p

Starr,

Now that you mention it, they don't seem to be sending out as many mails lately. You are right, those points really helped add things up. I can't remember and I don't have time to do it at this moment but I suggest we both go check to see if that is one of the sites where "Interests" are limited in the number of choices and maybe if we change our "interests" we will get extra points. I know that used to work.

Anyhow, happy holidays to all and let's keep this forum active. It is definitely one of the most informative and helpful--even the most fun--of all.

Yes they do deduct the points right away even if your prize has not been shipped.

cjsavannah, you are right. They do subtract the points right away. I guess when I asked for a certificate awhile back, I didn't click through all the steps or something because nothing ever happened. I went in a few days ago and asked again and the points were subtracted right away. I'm gonna go wipe the egg off my face while I wait for my reward to arrive. LOL

I ordered my 2 Amazon gift certificates on 9/16/03. A few days before Christmas I began to get worried since it was past the 90 days that they specify...so I emailed them through their system. They do say that they respond to each request so I waited for about 2 weeks and NO RESPONSE!! I have contacted them 3 times to no avail and now it is 4 months. Since then I have earned another $10 Amazon GC. Wonder if I will get them by Christmas this year?? If anyone has any other advice on getting the prizes, I would certainly appreciate it.

I also agree that MyPoints has it together much better than Memolink and they were in danger of going out of business!!! Memolink could learn a thing or two from them!!

Glad to see you did eventually get paid though. Last year I ordered a $25 GC and it took about 4 1/2 months but they replied to my contact email. Now they are just ignoring me. If it is going to take longer than the 90 days they specify, I really think they should say it!!

I really appreciate your response.

Thanks.

yes I agree, they should put it in writting that it will take longer, they are a paying site, it just takes forever , I guess that is better then never paying. Good luck :)

I totally agree. What they are doing now is false advertising. It would be nice if they took the time to acknowledge my emails. I feel like I am being ignored.

Has anyone cashed out of LuckyPoints yet?? They are related to Memolink, aren't they??

Oh, I would like to make a correction on an earlier post where I said that I requested my GC on 9/16. I was off a day, it was 9/17.

Yes, they are. So is PCH Points. I've been paid by both within a month.

If PCH points and LuckyPoints are both related to Memolink...I wonder why Memolink is so disorganized then?

Just makes me wonder.

I've been thinking about the problems with memolink, which have been going on since...about the time etour went out of business, before qool.com went under, and before about 500 gptre programs went belly up. Now, memolink could've done what all those other programs did, just quit and left us out to dry, but no, they've been actually trying to keep their jobs, albeit a bit ineptly.
Yep, if you just want to bash a program and whine, this is the place to do so, but I've been thinking, if we all want it to stay around and keep paying us, what we need to do is click A FEW links on their site that don't pay us, but DO pay them. I'm sure that like any search engine, they get paid for hits, not just for sales, so if we all just clicked a couple or 3 different links per day, maybe they'll get paid, and then eventually they'll be able to get caught up paying us, the members.
Any comments?

guylc2, I'm with you on that score. I click whatever they send me and go to the site at least once a week. Of all the sites I've ever belonged to, Memolink has been one of the most dependable in terms of answering my questions, eventually sending me whatever I ordered and being there. I don't feel that they have been all that shaky in terms of their paid mails or anything else. They can't send ads they don't have any more than any other site. The competition in the industry is keen.

I just wish they would let us advertise it the way we can other sites and build a downline. That way, they could get a lot more members. I won't take the chance in sending out the mail to just the people I know because most of the people I know think I'm nuts to try to make a few pennies a day with these sites. And I don't believe in harvesting people's addresses to send them spam the way some do.

I have seen lots of ads for memolink lately which tells me that the owners are advertising. Sure wish they would let the members do likewise.

I received this email today from Memolink and still no prize. Thought you all would be interested in what it says. It is well over 4 months since I ordered my prize.

Dear tina,
We are truly sorry that you have not yet received your prize. After three years of struggling with late prizes, we are still in the same position. You have likely heard more than one reason from Memolink as to why your prizes have not been delivered. Although we have had some problems with our fulfillment system and old technology, the underlying problem has still not changed. We are still recovering from the "Dot Com" fall out dating back three years. Memolink is a small company of less then 20 people, and although we have tried many different ideas, and several new marketing strategies, it is a constant struggle to purchase $1.5 million dollars worth of prizes for which we were never paid by advertisers. The good news is, we have slowly knocked out $1 million of that prize debt in the last two years, and those prizes have been shipped! The bad news is, we still have quite a bit more to cover before we are completely caught up, which we feel will be sometime in the next 12 months.
As many of you are aware, Memolink, unlike many of its competitors, still honor the points you earn, even when we're not paid by our advertisers. Other point programs are known to reverse the points you've earned when they're not paid by advertisers. We've always felt that our policy was a better approach as we didn't want to penalize our members for something they had no control over. _ Recently, the economic climate for Internet companies has improved. The resurgence in our economy, the positive trend in online commerce and the failing of less stable rewards programs (our competitors) are all positive signs for Memolink.
We do keep up with the buzz on the message boards. The most common statement made by Memolink members is they just want us to be honest about their prize orders. _ Frankly, we want to be honest. We will no longer put a soft-cushion on our excuse, or give you a date that your prize will arrive. The truth is, we aren't sure. We have many loyal members that come to our site each day to complete offers worth many points. These members keep us in business and will be rewarded - they will receive their prizes. We also have many loyal members that come to our site each day and participate in only "free point offers" that don't bring in revenue. We are happy to provide these free offers, but this has caused an unforeseen financial strain that may need to be corrected if prizes aren't caught up soon.
What's our solution? We have created a new prize delivery arrangement that will allow us to take many things into consideration before shipping the prize to a member. This arrangement is designed to deliver prizes first to candidates that will come back and earn us the most revenue, enabling us to ship ALL prizes quicker. We would like to say again, all the prizes that have been ordered will be delivered, but we will not be able to give you a date at this time. After testing this delivery method, we hope to better predict when your prize will arrive, but we won't be able to do so until we see how well it works. _ Suffice it to say, if you complete revenue generating offers on Memolink (shopping, credit cards, clubs, etc.), both old and new prize orders will be given some priority.
The MemoGold program was launched to select members to show our appreciation to those who have stuck with us over the years. We will keep the system in place and current Memogold members will still receive other benefits of having an upgraded account, but the accelerated prize shipping won't be reintroduced until we have our prize shipments back under control.
__Once this has happened, we'll be launching the MemoGold program in full force and we can concentrate on giving it the attention it needs to be the best elite program on the Web!
You have continually asked us for forthright and honest answers. We are doing this for you today, even though it may not be the answer you want. We have confidence that this is the best solution, and quite possibly the ONLY solution, if we want to get out of this three year prize shipping deficit.
We welcome your feedback - but understand that we are unable to answer all emails regarding specific prizes at this time. While we are working through this new prize plan, we will be concentrating on prize organization, and emails related to specific prizes may go unanswered until we know where we stand. All other questions related to your account will be handled as quickly and as accurately as possible. Without hundreds of prize questions daily, we hope to give more attention to other Member Support issues.
We appreciate your understanding. Please know we are doing the best we can to rectify this situation as soon as possible. When this new strategy proves successful, and we are able to ship all the prize requests, it will mean a new beginning for Memolink, and a fresh start for its loyal members!
Unlike others in the industry, we're not looking to take the easy way out. We will pay off all prizes while continuing to enhance the point earning opportunities and services available to you on Memolink.com.
Memolink has been in business since 1994 and will celebrate its 10 year anniversary this June. _ We're looking forward to another 10 years in business and hope that you'll continue to be a loyal member.
Best regards,
Memolink Member Support Team

That is the thing, and I really hope that I don't sound terribly vindictive by saying this...I use other reward programs to make purchases through more than I do Memolink simply for the reason that they are not great with paying off in a timely fashion. They did pay off for me once last year, but it took quite awhile for them to do it. I wonder how many others feel the same and go elsewhere to make their purchases!?

I have lost my patience with Memolink and it will be 5 months in 3 days since I ordered my GC's. Since you ordered yours last summer, maybe you would like to join me in going for a boycott. I have started a thread in the Suggest a Program to boycott section. The form to fill out to get your vote in for the boycott is on the homepage. I really think it is time to do it. I have a bad feeling they are going downhill fast. Thats just my opinion. I realize that many folks say they get their prizes on a regular basis, but I sure do see a lot of folks arent. Please help to get them boycotted.

Hi!

Well, I promised I'd let you knoe if I got my money from Memolink. I haven't got mine yet, either. And I'd had really good luck with them over the last three years.

I'm not so sure that I'd boycott them, since they are still pretty active in terms of sending out ads and such and they at least aren't like some of the programs that find ways to steal your money from you and then come back and whine that they told you so in some new terms of service that you probably didn't see.

How about a word of caution to new subscribers?

I suggest everyone take a trip over to comparerewards.com. There is some news that Memolink is deleting accounts and that the owner of the site says it is profitable. I found this by checking out what the getpaidforum.com forums said. There are some folks over there who have been waiting longer than the 5 months that I have been waiting. So please check out comparerewards.com and getpaidforum.com. I really think it is time to let Memolink know how we feel and go for the boycott.

Below is last years orders. In previous years, I always had to wait the 12 weeks then email them requesting my payout and then I would receive it. (Just like the Home Depot listed below) I also received the email stating they would payout to paying members before the "click only" members. I have enough points to request redemption again but whats the point until they pay me for the last one?

Prize Orders
PRIZE DATE ORDER PLACED DATE ORDER SHIPPED

Wal*Mart $10 Gift Certificate
Sat, 9/6/03
not shipped yet

Home Depot - $10
Fri, 4/25/03

Am I the only one hesitant about banning/quitting because of a loss of points?

I filled out the form on the gpt homepage to get the site boycotted. So that is one vote. Lets get a count on how many of us have done this. I think we need to let them know that we are serious. I also agree about not buying anything through them. I dont think even that can make us count on a payout.

Lets get a count on how many of us filled out that form to get them boycotted.

:yinyang: I ordered my prize on 9/9/03 and still nothing. I went ahead and ordered another today 2/25/04 and it said it could take up to 12 weeks to receive it. Well, that 12 weeks is well beyond the time length for my first prize order, which is now 5 1/2 months. I submitted the form to boycott. That would make at least 2 people now who have done it. This company is a scam.

:baaa: Well, I am about a week away from it being 6 months since I ordered my Amazon gift certificate. I contacted Memolink AGAIN to ask what the story is. Here is their reply. I have only edited out private info.

Your Request:
I ordered a prize for a $10 Amazon GC on 9/9/03. Now it is over 5 months and your site is now saying that rewards will be send within 12 weeks. I am seriously considering contacting the BBBonline. Is your site becoming a sham?? Today I ordered another prize. Will this one truly come within 4 months?? What is becoming of Memolink?? When will I get my prize? This is a BREACH OF PROMISE!!!
Memolink's response:

Thank you for your email. We will be sending you an email within the next day or two explaining our revised Prize Fulfillment Policy. This email can't be sent through this system because it contains too much text. In order for the email to go through you may need to make sure that your email program accepts the following domains:

Thank you. :yinyang: Just go to the gptboycott.com homepage. On the left side there is a menu and a form to fill out that says "Submit a Program to Boycott". Fill out the form and once they get 10 folks they boycott the program.

Memolink is wasting so much of everyones time and using stall tactics. They deserve to be boycotted. I have lost count of how many folks have submitted the form, but I am pretty sure we are getting close to the 10!!
