K Everybody, since I've been ranting @ all the other forums I'm registered @ I might as well hit this one too!
I joined Platinum Mails when it was in prelaunch. Only got 2 emails from them, but hey, they were supposed to pay $1. 00 per each, so I wasn't too leary. Then, I made the mistake of getting into phase 2, which was a limited time special for a gold membership. Fortunately, I used pay pal (& keep records of ALL my transactions!)-so I MIGHT have some recourse. But about 2 weeks after that, when I had seen that I had 30-some referrals (in 3 tiers), I got word that the site was going to be down "momentarily" due to getting notice that some of the members were spamming. That was a little over 3 weeks ago, and I have heard NOTHING since. Not only is "my" site gone, but so is the main page, administration, and support!!! I'm not sure how long I should wait to alert Pay Pal, & try & get my money back. Or even who to get ahold of to see if prosecution will work.
I'm mainly writing to see if anyone else got burnt...like I say Platinum Mails can't be found, so no one has to worry about signing up now! Thanx for listening all, & anything ya can add would be helpful, I'm sure.
