Hi
I just wanted to commend you on a good idea. The forum is a great place to exchange ideas, stay informed and just voice your opinion.

I think a good add on would be a "Newbie" section for all webmasters new to gptrem. Perhaps all the webmasters that have websites that could possiblly post ideas/experiences (good or bad) or suggestions for the new kids on the block so to speak. I think MAYBE (maybe being the operative word here) it could help stop the non payouts, changes in referral level percentages, etc. etc.

I know from experience I made some poor decisions when I started the program, and I think perhaps it could help others in the future. I think some of the reasons new sites fail is that the person doesn't have a grasp on the industry as a whole and make poor decisions at the beginning, thus dooming the website.
Mind you I am NOT in any way defending sites that don't pay, I am only suggesting something that perhaps could help.

I am also going to suggest to CAC that once they create a website and offer it on Ebay, that they don't offer the site "live".
I purchased my website thru EBay and before I had even paid for it, and had it transferred to me, some 1500 members had signed up. That didn't really allow me to make changes (sign up bonuses, changing referral percentages etc) without making some people angry. I was told (By CAC) when I was ready, understood the website, and had made changes they would announce it throughout the network, which was true. Well needless to say I wasn't ready, yet I had members already. Sometimes I think that also sets up webmasters to fail because heaven forbid you make changes after the site has members, you are blackballed, called a scam and everything else by people and in the most cases, fellow webmasters because they are the ones who referred those people most likely in the first place.

Which brings me to my next issue. I totally understand why some webmasters and members are leary and worried about scams, BUT I also believe they are quick to make judgements without all the facts. Case in point, I deleted a member. Yes it was my fault, I admitted that to the member, resinstated their account with ALL referrals and earnings and even paid them an extra $5 for what I felt their referrals would have made them within that time they were deleted. But to some people (all fellow webmasters I might add) what I did wasn't quick enough. Due to the circumstances of when this deletion happened (I was out of state at a family funeral), I did not have access to my back up CDs which were home 1000 miles away! But as soon as I returned all of this was taken care of. I received MANY unneccessary e-mails with threats and just downright nasty implications. One webmaster even accused me of using the funeral for a cover up for the supposed "scam". Quite ignorant, hateful and insensitive to say the least. I am quite sure he is most likely reading this post, I just hope and pray he isn't on a jury one day where someones life is at stake because that person would fry before the evidence was heard. Not ONE webmaster who sent those emails has even had the decencency to appologize and say they were wrong. By the way if you are thinking "So what you paid one person that's what all scammers do" well ask around some names in this forum I recognize as members I have paid.

A final thought, don't be too quick to make judgement get ALL the facts first, have some compassion and patience with new webmasters and use your knowledge and experience to help them. It would help the whole industry if you did.

P.S. If you are wondering about the username I picked...well it's my cats name, it means crooked, or twisted in spanish. Her tail was broken when I got her and it's quite crooked! Just thought I would add that bit of trivial nonsense :0)

So you would like to see a forum for like web site suggestions? And new and old webmasters post in their?

I might add that, not sure. I dont know if it really goes with this subject. Like what would they ask?

I understand perhaps it isnt the right venue for that. I guess by reading the other sections and seeing all the complaints or praises of websites it just made me think. Instead of complaining about earnings drops and changes use your knowledge to help them, then that way there might be less unhappy gptrem people

I could arrange some form of webmasters forum outside of GPTBoycott easily...

If you could get the members there then I'm sure it could work.
