Please note these changes are effective from Saturday December 7, 2002, from 12:25pm GMT.
All old suggestions for programs to boycott will now be deleted because of the new rules and regulations concerning the awarding of the Seal OF Approval.
For voting to commence, there needs to be at least five nominations for that program in one thread, under the 'Program Suggestions' folder. Inside that folder there is a set of rules to comply to when making your nominations. Failure to comply with these will result in the deletion of your post.
Voting will take place as usual, with a minimum 20 votes needed for the collation of the results to commence.
Voting will take place out of twenty for the same five categories as usual. The program must achieve an average of at least 87% across the five categories.
Then, when a program achieves the 87% requirement, another step occurs.
The four GPTBoycott forum moderators, that is myself, DAzHiredGun, Taff and bumprhi, have to approve the program. However, to ensure that the voting is not biased by the GPTBoycott Staff in any major way, as long as two out of four of the moderating team approve the program, the program will be awarded the "seal Of Approval".
This extra step is necessary for two main reasons:
1. To ensure that blatant scams do not "slip through the net" as it were.
2. To guard against blatant cheating of the voting process in the forum.
Thanks for reading :)
If you have any further questions about the new system, just post a reply here and one of us'll get back to you :)
