Problems with Opt In Pays?

They sent me an email today stating my account was under investigation as possible multiple accounts. I have no idea where they get this from and it can't be because of my IP as that doesn't change. I am on cable and have been now for months.

Unless someone signed me up or I had an account I perhaps forgot about I know I do not have but the one account there.

My suspicion on this is that I finally started getting a decent amount of referrals and I am owed more than they have had to ever pay me. This is only because other paid to read sites have done this.

My referral levels are currently:
1 34
2 311
3 6
4 0
5 0

And my current total earnings at this time are:
Totals: $5.16

Has anyone had the problem of once they started getting a decent downline and earnings being 'suspect' and having their account deleted with opt-in-pays? :(

The email also stated I had to verify my account information via the link they provided in the email.

Well this is interesting and infuriating. I just received my next mailing from Opt In Pays. I had noticed I had been getting double emails from them lately but I had put it down to a mailer glitch and just deleted one.

It seems though upon doing a little investigative work on these two emails that I did indeed have a second account but had no idea how I got it.

I had no idea what the password was etc. My email address is 'out there' so it is possible someone signed me up without my knowledge or consent for this second account.

That is the only possibility I can think of. I got into Opt In Pays fairly early and was given and ID # in the 200 range. The extra bogus account had an ID # in the 6000 range.

I have emailed Opt IN Pays about this a very lengthy email including my deepest apologies for any headaches this caused them.

I pointed out I am certain someone else had to have signed me up to gain extra referrals. This isn't the first time that has happened to me and I doubt it will be the last.

*sigh* I just hope I don't lose my original account which was the only one I ever signed up for. I finally have a really good downline thanks to buy paid advertising etc.

Wish me luck that all will turn out alright in the end... :(

Lol you have pointed something out there "Getting 2 emails"
this happens to me regular not form Opt-In-Pays but from
other programs, I think I had better check them in furure with
the webmasters, I have always thought it was a glitch with
their mailer !!!

I once in awhile get a duplicate e-mail from Opt-In-Pays, but it is like once in awhile. I think it is a glitch. I think it is the e-mail program you are using? I keep getting alot of duplicates with my Yahoo account.

I use OE6 and my email address is my domain. I did check it though and it was a second account. I have no idea how that happened though. I just hope they don't delete my original account over this... :(
