Just listed pennyzone, and bought the minimum amount of visitors tasia's allow (500). I have used up less than half of those hits, and already have 5 new first level refs there. That's 1 signup in 50 hits, which is about 5 times better than most point mails I've sent at other places. About the only thing I've seen that's better is Golden tools, when they only had 700 or so members I sent a point ad and got 6 first level refs in a less than enticing, somewhat high payout program that wasn't exactly an easy sell.
Only problem is that if you transfer paypal money to your tasia account, it is NOT instant as they claim it is. I had to wait about 8 hours to get the money to show even though my paypal account deducted the cash instantly. Tasias could start responding to email a bit better too, but even though they have some problems here and there the advertising is pretty good.

Tasias responds to e-mails? Not mine. Ok, I did get a response to the first e-mail I sent them a couple of months ago. Since then, I have e-mailed Customer Service a few times but never received a response. Not even an automated one. I've thought about purchasing an ad. But I'm scared it will never be seen unless I pay the fee to move it to the top (currently $13.27). It will probably take alot of referrals to recover the $18+. But, Tasias is probably the best site there is as far as getting the maximum exposure. We just have to pay alot for it.

The best way I've found is, list a brand new site before anyone else does and it will cost $5 and will be rated at 28%. Then buy 500 guaranteed hits for $7.50. Even though it is low rated, people can still get 1c per click and gold and platinum members get signup bonuses too. At least when a gold member signs up, there is a better chance of them being serious and active with a new PTR than a regular member. When people search for links with credit remaining, they will see it even if it is low rated. And then if anyone else ever wants to promote that same link, they have to bid for it, and you get a cut of their advertising cost, and some random Platinum member gets $5. If it's a new GPTR and you list it first you can easily make back the money from the residual bonuses when other people start bidding on it. I never saw the point of paying the $13 to bump it up, you would just run out of hits really fast anyway. I bet the guy who listed E-specie when they finally got back up is making a mint right now from all those bids!

Thanks for the advice. You make alot of sense. Going the "paid clicks" route would certainly increase my chances of getting real hits. With the bandwidth upgrade complete and the site lightning-fast, I'm hoping that payouts will also speed up. I am waiting on one from Sept. 5th. They are paid up through Aug. 20th now.

When I sign up for a program listed at Tasia's, I receive 50 cents (usually). Who actually pays that? I know that the advertiser must approve the payment. But, does Tasia's or the advertiser actually pay the 50 cents? Seems like it would be very expensive for Tasia's to pay 50 cents per sign-up while only receiving about $5-20 per listing, depending on the ad package purchased. Thanks for your help!

I made sure to look at my balance every 5 minutes my first ad, getting worried that it would empty my paypal out. But tasia's pays all the bonuses, not the advertiser. Would be nice if they had a good faq or some more details there so people don't have to find these things out by chance. The odd thing is I only get about one half of the submissions as I do signups, so either there's a bug or it might be a cost cutting method. With Pennyzone I wound up getting 8 refs but only got 4 submissions to look over. I approved all four, but after that Tasia's still has 2 weeks to reverse it if they see something there they don't like. The only reason they are profitable is the fact that you have to pump in 24.95 before you can collect, because they pay out a lot for each listing and each mail. Also most people go for gold or platinum, that's where the profit margin is. And then there's people who spend big money there every day doing the search engine trick, so Tasia's gets the price of the mailing and the sender gets tons of valid searches out of it. I think at best they break even on the cent mails, but since people tend to use their balance for upgrades or to keep sending ads, they manage to stay ahead of the game. I'm planning on doing the search engine thing there myself, I hear there are people making some mad money off of doing that. And the refs you get this way are far more active than ones you pick up from safelists and such, or from pointmails.

I've thought about upgrading to Gold. But right now there is no benefit for me since I'm not being credited for many sign-ups. Only one inthe last 13 VALID submissions was credited. The other 12 havee been pending since late August. Maybe that's another way they make money: random acts of amnesia. Just speculation though. Could be a bug in the system. One more question, since CS won't tell me anything at Tasia's: Do you know what happens if I join a program and then cancel, say, a month or two later. Is the 50-cent credit "administratively reversed?" You may not know the answer. I just thought I would ask. Thanks very much for your help.

They watch things for about 2 weeks or so, but if you quit don't try to signup for that same program through tasia's again even under a different ref because it is logged in your account that you got credit for it. Instead, quit one and then sign back up over at tradesnaps or jigsaw :D
I've been screwed out of bonus payment for legit signups where I was very active the first few days, why someone would even care when the 50c doesn't even come out of their own pocket is beyond me. Why someone would be so stupid to think as I would want to stay in their downline, making them money, when they scammed me is pretty pathetic. In those cases I quit those programs and emailed the program owners that my upline had abused tasia's and wasn't offering the incentive they promised, or I've asked to be reassigned under a gold member if it's a MEC site. The problem is that non members can buy advertising at Tasia's and I think they never come back to validate things after getting their ad out.
I think Tasia's is a great program but they are in serious need of a forum and some help files written by someone who speaks fluent English.
