I would like to suggest a word of caution about PAYPAL although it is well known internationally and possibly accounts for millions in transaction.

I recently verified my paypal account using my credit card. While verifying it was mentioned at the PAYPAL site, that $ 1.95 would be deducted from my card but this amount would be added to my PAYPAL account, the moment I verified my expanded user number. I did the verification of my expanded user number, and my account was verified but till date I have not seen PAYPAL credit $ 1.95 in my PAYPAL account ($1.95 was deducted from my credit card). I have written 5 times to PAYPAL but they neither acknowledge, nor reply or credit the amount.

I guess if there is ever a problem with PAYPAL, you will NEVER NEVER GET FAIR DEAL FROM PAYPAL. It will possibly make sense to use STORMPAY because they are more responsive.

My warning is to all users of PAYPAL: BEWARE OF IT!!!

This may not be a good sampling, but I have only used Stormpay once, during which they violated their own terms and left my account negative. :)

Stormpay takes to much fees when you receive money in my opinion

I heard a lot of scam complaints about Stormpay about their fees and them not paying. ( Heh... the fees is going to eat every bit of your little payouts... :) )
Anyways, I never had any problems with Paypal, I am verified.

Oh yes, :!: BEWARE :!: of paypal, that is for sure. As I haven't had any problems with paypal, there is LOADS of people who have. My bf got his $1.95 into his account no problem, so i'm not sure why you didn't, but that is nothing compared to the people who have been took for a ride by paypal, good ebay sellers having to pay for fee's of fraud they didn't commit £500+ took from their account for it. Paypal state they can freeze your account and the funds in it, at any giving reason, basically if they feel like it, they will do it, and you have to wait 180 days to get your money back, and if you don't claim it after that (say you forgot) then they keep it.
for more information about paypal visit

alot of stories on there.

Like I said I haven't had a problem with them as of yet. I will still continue to use them, as they are top leading, and alot of ebayers use it, but that's the only reason, I don't like how they go about with their complaints etc.

If Google Wallet ever materialises, it'll eb extremely interesting to see how the marketplace reacts.

As for StormPay, I believe they are owned, or were owned by TYMGlobal, which ran one of the first "free laptop matrix" sites which didn't pay as it promised.

I'm willing to put good money on that a lot of people being "scamed" by PayPal are users that have either posted their PayPal account info where they shouldn't and/or have been careless with their passwords. This is the first I've ever heard about this. I've NEVER had any problems with PayPal over the last 7-8 years. But I don't know about this transfer of funds when verifying your account either. At least I never did that. You sure you logged on to paypal.com, right? ;) But I've seen several people complain about the lack of response. But you have to understand that they have THOUSANDS and THOUSANDS of accounts and probably get swarmed by stupid questions every single day. It's not an unknown fact that it's easy to get crowded out when you actually have a valid complaint. One might say it's silly to complain over that small an amount, but it's more the principle of the thing of course. I think if you stick with it, you'll probably be funded the cash, it just might take some time. As for you suggestion to boycott them you KNOW that's not gonna happen :D

Never had a problem with PayPal in six years. A few times I had questions and they were always very prompt to respond.

Paypal has a long history of stealing money from users and engaging in extremely fraudulent and deceptive businesses practices. The only reason they changed some of these practices is because they were taken to court by several STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS and were legally forced to change a lot of their business practices. The majority of users never run into real problems with Paypal, but that doesn't change the fact there are at least several hundred thousands valid consumer complaints against them coming from the U.S. alone. I strongly suggest not leaving much money in your Paypal account at any given time...withdraw it ASAP after getting it. There's tons of sites dedicated to the illegal and slimy business practices of Paypal, the best of those can probably be found here:

Beware of paypal! Paypal froze my account -- they claimed I was using paypal to sell tobacco products through my website. But, I don't even have a website! Nor do I sell tobacco. Paypal eventually un-froze my account, but it was a real pain. I do not plan to have more than $20 in my paypal account ever again.

Ive had alot of problems with Paypal. They basically reward the fraudsters & punish the honest members!!! I wouldnt use it unless it was really necessary RE the only way to get payments (well the easiest way for me)!

I think the best thing is as soon as you have cash in there, withdraw it to your acocunt or spend it, else they could freeze it at any time!

Theyve also proved they dont take their members seriously, they just do it for the money at what ever cost to the honest members. And they have proved also that they cant read (from an experience my poor bf had)!!!!

Ive emailed them on numerous occasions re different account issues and not one single time did they ever reply! That is complete & utter useless customer service - the same as with ebay! But why doesnt that suprise me since they are owned by the same company!!!!

$1.95 gets credited to PayPal account automatically after the first purchasing transaction is made. PayPal is sometimes late responding to inquiries, but it is still the most reliable online payment processor.
