Annies-Biz - Dead
Annies-Biz was a "paid-to-read" type program, offering five levels of membership and six referral levels. Complaints received about this program range from those of non-payment, deletion of accounts, to changes of ownership and radical alterations to the site's TOS.
The site was taken over by its last owner after the previous owner accumulated large site debts, and left many members awaiting payouts requested months before. The new owner converted member's cash earnings to points, and left those awaiting payments to hope that they will see their money at some point in the future. Problems involving the payment processor eSmartPay meant that earnings made by members were removed from their accounts, despite them not being liable or at fault for this loss. The payment processor was never backed up by sufficient funds, and in reality should not have been used as a means for Annies-Biz to receive payments.
The first reason for the enactment of a formal boycott against Annies-Biz was the conversion of cash earnings to points, without giving members a chance to redeem their earnings in a way by which they would be likely to ever receive them. The fact that those waiting on the payout list in the vein hope of a payout had to remain active in the program was a prime example of how TOS agreements can be unfairly manipulated in favour of the webmaster. The second reason was the high volume of complaints pertaining to: non-payment of members, withdrawal of cash earnings due to mistakes made by the site owner with regards to choice of payment processor, and account deletions.

Annies-Biz is now on the Dead List. This means it is no longer in operation.
All comments refer to the period of time when this program was in operation. No further complaints will be accepted for this program.
This program was moved onto the Dead List on March 7, 2007.

Comments: Site changed hands on February – I had $50 in my account by that time and requested to be paid.
Since the new webmistress made a list of pending payouts and, for some reason, my name wasn’t there, I had to re-requested to be paid, after being asked to do so.
After 6 months waiting to be paid and being active, the site is totally changing its TOS and our earnings were reseted to 0$, even the ones made under the actual ownership. I just cannot understand why these must be reseted too… by the way, I had no problems regarding payments with the former owner – I had been paid promptly more than 1 time after request.

Comments: Annies Biz is smarter than the rest, i must admit. While all other sites flee with the money, this one chose to play on our sentiments and got away with a scam.... its amazing that no one can see through it. The site has refused to make payouts, all earnings been converted to points. The ads that come out now are worth 0. Tragic.. cos i made $49.93 which is now worthless points. Guess we gotta be careful of these extremely honest sites as well.

Comments: i signed up in the very beginning of the program and you got 10 dollar signup bonus.Then she removed the signup bonus and said that the members who had the bonus could get ot banner impressions or ptc.idecided for ptc and sent in the banner but heard nothing. emailed her again but didnot get an answer. Then i had a lot of refarrels and was close to payout and then she cancelled my account ....because she said her emails bounced. But i am a member of almost 30 PTR sites and none of those emails bounce.It also happened to my sister she als had the bonus and lots of refarrels and was close to payout. But when i emailed her to ask why our accounts were deleted her answer was coming into my emailbox Is.t that strange?

I have a complaint against Annie's. I had been a member for a few months. I had no referrals until recently. I had made 10.05 on my own and last night 11/08/03 the server at Annie's was down. When I was able to get in, some of my earnings were missing, not much, 11 cents, and I had 5 recent referrals there. One referral was missing as well, and I knew the person, she signed up the day before. I wrote Annie's about the problem. I did not hear from her. I tried to log into my account today 11/09/03 to see if she fixed the problem, and I am not a member. I wrote her again, and she has not responded as of yet. I was kicked out for some reason. I dont think this is right, period! I wrote the 5 referrals I have and let them know in case this happens to them. The weeks following this, Annie's sent out an admin letter that stated she was going to start sending points out in order for her to stay in business. Not sure if this had anything to do with what happened to me, but it is all starting to make sense.
Is there anything you can do?

Comments: Last night the server went down around 11:00pm. I kept trying till I went to bed around 3:00am. I get up this afternoon at 2:00pm and I try to log in and it now says I am no longer a member. One of my downlines that I have talked to was also removed. I had just requested a 25.00 payout on 11/02/03. I keep track of my earnings and downlines and I had 16 in my first lvl downline and 5 in my second downline and my account was up to 28.62. Now she has kicked me out and I guess I won't be seeing my payment. What is up with these sites. How can they be allowed to do this? I worked hard for that money as I don't have big downlines.

Comments: I got some emails from Annie's today, but when I tried to click on them, they said the url was wrong. So I tried to sign into the site, but was told that the username and password was wrong. So then I tried to get them to send me an email to my email address with the password, in case I forgot. They said there was no such email address in their network. So I resigned up, but before I reput in my info, I got a letter from a couple of friends, both complaining about Annie's saying that they had been deleted and all their money lost. So I decided NOT to resubscribe. Something is going on here...

Comments: Annies-Biz new owners seem to be set on deleting members whom have been in good standing for a long time. I now have fallen into their category of deletion, after clicking one click link in an email. It just seems like they wish to end what was a very good program. With all the ways they have come up with to delete your account, it just is not worth joining Annies-Biz in my opinion. You upgrade for $50, pay for advertisement, click their support links, request payout/not to receive it and the next thing you know you are deleted. Then they will not answer any email, stating that they do not have time to. They have seemed to come up with what it assumed a legitimate way, not to making payouts left by Annie when she turned over her site to these new owners.
I am now starting a boycott of Annies-Biz, feel free to join me by emailing your downline and letting them all know what is happening at the new and improved Annies-Biz. I am posting this in every forum I belong to, appox. 20 and sending to every downline in all programs that I belong to (can not count them all).

Comments: Annies Biz is a scam ripoff. I have been a member for 2 years. I reached payout. $50.00.... Assume 5000 members reached payout...Thats $250,000.00. You have a real scam going and should be responsible for the money that you ripped off from people.... I am sure you have heard this before...I have found that there are only a few honest Paid to read sites and definately you are not one of them... Change your terms alittle and it makes things right.. I will do anything to make other people aware... I had about $100.00 in my account and because you changed your terms I now have a whopping 3 cents. Annies is criminal... and more needs to be done to take you out of buinsness... Ya sure just change your name and do it all over again.. I have written my congressman and all made calls to IRS and they are investigating Annies Biz and about 70 other misleading criminals like your self... Just Vanish please... I am sending emails like this to all Paid to read sites that are scams and dont pay.... think about it...crooks... also posting where everyone has a chance to see

Comments: Been a member of Annies Biz sence June 09, 2003 every time i requested pay out as a gold member was always paid in thirty days now that it is under new ownership membership is not being paid. I requested payout on 1/6/04 and as to date have not been paid it has ben over six months sence I requested payment and this is happing to alot of members that is complaining.Join Annies only if you do not wan't to get paid

Comments: I have been on a payout list for over a year, Have over a hundred dollars. Had to buy ads last month just to get something. When I contacted dana to ask if I was still going to be paid, she reffered me to the terms page with a form letter. I am sure the only one making money here is Dana.
They converted all our cash to points for ads, with no input from us. i have belonged since the first week. The original webmisstress paid me 3 times. Wish she was back.
This is now a bad site,
I just stay active, so as not to lose my money, should some miracle happens, and I get paid.

Comments: I have some complaints about some of the complaints above. Dana did sent an email stating about the points being converted. What some of the complainers never pointed out is that Dana will pay 10% at a time to all members. She made copies of everybody cash earnings to pay them at a later time before she converted the cash to points. Dana did paid some members 10% of their earnings.
2nd, some of the complaints came from 2003. There are like 5 of them, and they were made against the old owner.
3rd, Dana did not forced anybody to redeem their earnings and points for ads like one person complained.
4th, Dana had to delete a lot of cheaters from her program because Annie was too lazy to delete them. Several got deleted because they clicked on cheat links three times, and it is in the terms that anybody clicked on them three times, their accounts will be deleted.
5th, Dana did not run. The domain names on several of her programs and forum expired. She had to get the domain names going again.
6th, Dana recieved the payout lists from Annie. Since there are complaints that their names were not on the payout lists, that does not mean Dana excluded them. It meant that Annie did not really kept up with all the cashout requests. A lot of the complaints goes back when Annie was the owner, not Dana.
Dana has a track record of paying her members in her other programs, and not many complaints with them.

Comments: I got ripped off by Dana. I saw how she have improved the turn around on CashRoyal until she took over this program. Dana disappeared taken my $33 from this site, my $10 from CashRoyal/SizzleClicks, 20 cents from TyliasPay, $2 at Z-Cash and close to 75 cents in Cash Wage. I have defended her all these years, but I am really mad that I got nothing from AnniesBiz and CashRoyal.
