2DollarEmails - Dead
2DollarEmails was a paid-to-read program, which promised to pay "up to $5.00 per email" read by its members (see: frontpg.gif). However, it would appear that apart from their apparent ignorance where member satisfaction and business ethics were concerned, they themselves were confused as to what they were offering. A quick look at their Terms of Service and FAQ pages showed that "members will earn $2 for each winning email read" - a far cry from the promises made on the homepage of the site. (See: terms.gif; faq.gif).
However, it was not the unclear information on the website which had earnt 2DollarEmails a formal boycott. It was their complete disregard for their members, with particular emphasis on promised payouts, adherence to their own Terms of Service, and dealing with customer complaints.
The 2DollarEmails Terms Of Service promised no miminum payout requirement, that is to say that members were not obligated to attain a certain amount before requesting payment. However, our complainants say that upon attempting to redeem their earnings, they were met with only a $50 payout option - and no sign of the promised "no minimum" policy. It was this primary reason; the failure to comply with one's own Terms of Service, that we enacted a formal boycott against 2DollarEmails, as of July 15, 2005.
All this, of course, was immaterial unless they fulfilled their promises to pay their members in the first place. However, their advertising prices were completely unsustainable, and so the complaints we have about non-payment are of no surprise. While 2DollarEmails suggested that advertising e-mails will be sent as $2 prize links, many members received $9 or $10 ordianry paid e-mail links, in an attempt to boost clickthroughs. Clearly, the company had no chance of paying its members with financial management such as this. Unrealistic and unsustainable referral bonuses offered only compounded the problem, enticing people to sign up their friends and so boost the advertising sales of the fraudsters behind this site. It was the site's failure to pay or respond to its members which was the second reason for the enactment of a formal boycott.

Name: Rose Prust Date: September 17, 2004 Comments: I requested payment on several different occasions, never once was paid. I contacted the webmaster on several different occasions and never once recieved a response to my emails.
Name: kate Date: August 6, 2004 Comments: I haven't been paid, and quite a number of people I've talked to haven't been paid and have been waiting close to 6 months. The webmaster will not answer any of our emails.
Name: Susan Allan Date: July 28, 2004 Comments: I have tried for months to redeem $102 from this site, I have sent messages via the site and do not get any reply. I do however continue to receive the webmasters advertisements at my subscribed address. I find this a little, no alot obscene considering the site is a scam.
Name: Charlita McPheeters Date: July 31, 2004 Comments: I submitted a request for payment when I reached minimum ($50), although they say on their pages that there IS no minimum, and got no response, (this was in June). In July I also put in a request for redemption, and have received no response. I've sent them numerous messages thru their contact us link, but also received no response from that route either. I've "earned" over $130 and I guess from what I've read in the getpaidforum.com that this is an ongoing problem with them, and they continue this behavior taking advantage of trusting people like me trying to make some extra money on the side... I had that money earmarked for a used gamecube that I promised my son for his birthday (8/14), but I guess I'll have to figure out another way to get it now... This place needs to be shut down.
Name: Ann Chase Date: March 12, 2004 Comments: This site advertises as no mimimum payout on front page as well as in the tos but when I tried to collect payout it showes you have to have $50.00 in order to receive payout. I have written 3 times to support and have not received any reply. The last time I gave them 48 hours to reply and still no reply. I am coming to the conclusing this site may be a scam.
Name: Veronica Montenegro Date: March 16, 2004 Comments: They owe me U$D 240!!! I Have made the payment request 3 weeks ago, I have complained 15 times already.. and I am still waiting for an answer...
Besides, they never sent me any "2dollar" paid email!!!
They are definitely a SCAM...
Name: Diego Gonzalez Date: March 16, 2004 Comments: They donīt pay!!! They are a SCAM!!!
I did U$D 200 in just one week, I made the request, and I never got any answer from them...
Name: kathy Date: March 28, 2004 Comments: I have $128.00 just in referrals that I have signed up and when I requested payout (which is $50) there was no e-mail confirmation and no payment the money is still in my acct at that site but I've done it 3 times with nothing happening, I've e-mailed them at least 5 times on this matter with no reply. So I'm gonna assume that they're scammers.
Name: Jan Date: April 6, 2004 Comments: Offers a ridiculous referral earnings.
Say on members page cashout at $50.
In terms, Payments will be made within 30 days or a reasonable time after.
I, like many people requested payout at $50 and now my account is $517.
No reply from WM when emailed.
I like many members have been waiting, but not really expecting, payout for well over 30 days.
Name: Chris Shelley Date: April 16, 2004 Comments: This site looked promising when it started a few months back, $2 contest mails! I highlight the word contest mails because they are certainly not! All emails are worth roughly $9-$10.
Us guys built up big downlines for the idea of 2Dollar Contest Mails! We didnt get!
My downline:
Tier 1:(112 Total Referrals)
Tier 2:(28 Total Referrals)
Tier 3:(19 Total Referrals)
Referral Bonus : $729
Its a joke!
So i requested payment for my $740 in my account, guess what been over 60 days and still no email, no response to support request, and most of all no payment!
BUT the mails still keep coming in the $9-$10 way!! BIG time joke!
In all there terms it states 'No Minimum Payout' but in redemption area its only got a $50 cash button!
So it has broken its terms twice! Everywhere it says we will recieve contest mails, will be paid within 30 days & no min payout!
Thanx for your time!
Name: matthew Date: April 25, 2004 Comments: hi,
this program says on there site that there is no minium payout but when you join up with them and click through there emails/links etc, and want to be paid out you got to earn a minium of $50 to cashout so i did and i hit the redeem button and they said that they will verify your earnings/account etc and will send you an email for you to reply with your payment details, well i did that 4 weeks ago and still no payment.has anyone else who's a member of this company been paid??
Name: Juan Angel Ugarte Date: November 1, 2004 Comments: I reached the minumum paying amount several months ago, and I haven't been paid. I also have sent them several email messages and have not recevid an answer yet.
Name: Doug Mayer Date: July 21, 2004 Comments: I've "earned" well over the $50.00 minimum payout, and made two requests for redemptions, but I have not received any payout. The last request was on July 6th. I've sent several inquires to them as to when should I expect the payment, but have not received any response. As per their instructions,
"Here are the steps to the redemption process:
1. The Webmaster will review your account for any mistakes or errors.
2. After that he will debit your account for the amount redeemed.
3. Then he will contact you and send you your redemption.
This whole process may take a couple days.
So please be patient".
Name: tricia Date: May 18, 2004 Comments: i requsted payment on apirl 22nd and still not heard anything from them if u know of anyone who has been paid by them i want to know how long i have to wait. thank u
Name: Tim Wells Date: May 24, 2004 Comments: I was suspicious of this one from the moment I signed up and read his terms. The terms say that there is no minimum payout but the member's area says you have to have $50 in earnings to cash out.
I earned the required payout and clicked the cashout button. The page that came up said it might take up to four days (he has since altered this to say several days). After 5 days, I emailed him to ask the status of my payment. I got no response. After 4 more days, I emailed again. I still have not gotten a response.
I'm not at all surprised. This program doesn't look at all sustainable. I just want to steer others away from wasting their time.

Your supposed to get a confirmation email from them after you request a redemption but they never get back to you. Also I sent a payment request through paypal and still nothing. In fact they are supposed to pay you through paypal but when I made my first request I found out that they aren't even set up with paypal. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,

Name: Jacqueline Maulguet Date: June 23, 2004 Comments: Don't know who the webmaster is, not getting any reply. Terms states NO MINIMUM for payout but when you sign up and start using the site at the bottom of the earnings page there is a redemption button and a note saying that you must have $50 in earnings. After reaching $50 I clicked the redemption button and got a message that they will check my account and be in touch and that it may take a few days it's now been over two months and I have clicked the button again as I now have over $90 but still no contact from the site. I would be grateful if you could investigate the site and boycott if needed as I wastes money advertising this site and have 6 in my downline. Awaiting your reply.
Regards
Jacquie

Name: matthew king Date: June 26, 2004 Comments: hi,
this program sends out emails to click on links and earn money joining up but when you hit the redeem button in your members part, it says redemption sent and the webmaster will contact you after reviewing your account and will send you an email to ask which payment you want to be paid by,so i hit that button 6 times in the last 2 months or more, sent several emails to that company and still haven't been paid,it looks like a fraud to me,i don't think i will ever be paid, regards matt.
Name: David S. Hicks Date: July 6, 2004 Comments: I too was duped into believing that I had found the perfect PTC site[$50.00 every 21 days] but as it's been well over 3 months since I first requested my pay out and the only E-mails they ever send are more ads to click The money will NEVER come to me So in my mind it was just a BIG waste of time that could have been used on an honest program I just wish one of my redemms would work.If I help save only one poor soul from falling into their "trap of greed" I'll have done the right thing here ...so please BOYCOTT them now.
