Boycott PaidEmail!

Date Boycotted: 09-11-2007
URL: http://www.paidemail.com

PaidEmail is, obviously enough, a paid e-mail site offering paid e-mails worth between five cents and five dollars, a one dollar referral bonus and cash prizes of up to $50,000. The site also proudly boasts that payments are made within 45 days, though the complaints which follow show this not to be the case.

The reason that PaidEmail is on the boycott list is the non-payment of members. The complaints below detail how members who have reached the minimum payout amount are not being paid according to the site's own Terms of Service. Some of those members have had their accounts deleted. Support e-mails have not been responded to, members have not been paid, and so this program rightly belongs on the boycott list.

For the reasons above, and the complaints listed below, PaidEmail has been boycotted!

Comments: They wont ad my past referals to my account. They wont pay me. Ive requested several times, over last 9 months. They dont answer any of my emails or even send me my site stats. I recently wrote them again asking them to at least acknowledge that they are trying to pay people and got no response again. I wish to put them on boycott list.

Comments: They keep promising to pay and whenever I submit the 'request payment' form they come back with some excuse or other.. I have read hundreds of their emails and my account shows $40 + earned, but no payment in two years. Yet they are continuing to aggressively recruit.

Comments: Hello,

I hope you are having a pleasant day.

The WM of one of the sites where I am a member asked us to submit info about sites that we consider scam. I did it and I was actually paid a reward by them. I also received a reply from them where they suggested that I inform you so here it is. The site which paid me the reward is Spare-Dollars and the WM of course is Kimberly Cochran. She is GREAT!

So here we go: A little more than two years ago when I got started in PTR I signed up for a mini-course that seemed interesting. Through the course I signed up with about 30 sites. Most of them have now vanished into cyberspace and they were apparently scam most of them.

One of the sites was http://www.paidemail.com

I have not yet cancelled my membership with them although I know that I will never get paid.

LAST YEAR in February I had a communication with them. At that time they owed me approximately $28 and since pay out was minimum $20 I requested them to pay me. They were going to do that after they had checked my downline. To this I responded that my earnings were more than $20 without taking the referral bonuses into consideration.

After that I believe I have requested pay out once more.

Note that this was more than one year ago!

As I said I have not cancelled my account with them so I still receive their ads which are not very frequent. Yesterday, however, I received one and since they always detail how much I have earned I know that my present balance is approximately $51.

Another interesting thing I have noticed is that my balance is increasing. This after all is Paid to Read BUT I stopped clicking on their ads a long time ago.

When I receive their mail, which are sent from contact@paidemail.com I just hit reply and send it back asking for my money. To this I have of course never received any reply.

So what we have here is apparently a double scam. Advertisers are paying for ads which are not read and clicked by some members. Members get credited for reading them anyway (clicking or not clicking) but members are not paid.

If there ever were a scam I believe this is one and the whole PTR community ought to be informed about it.

Thanks and have a pleasant weekend,
Per

Comments: I finally reached payout in December, which is $20 in personal earnings and one also has to have 4 referrals in order to be paid...i have 6,all confirmed.I requested payout in December, they said i waited too long since they sent out payment on the 15th of every month.I requested again on Jan 1,Feb 1, Mar 1;and will do so every month until they pay me.I have contacted their customer service several times about this issue and they keep tellling me they pay their members that have met the requirements monthly, and I have;and yet have to have been paid a dime yet. They owe me over $32 but refuse to pay. They even have the nerve to email all their members saying that all checks have been sent out, every month. Please help any way you can.

Comments: When you reach minimum payout level and request payment does not react on it anyway. Does simply not pay. Does not answer on my multiple reminders. When I started to complain them more seriously - my account was deleted. I lost about $25.

Comments: I have written to this company several times trying to get a listing of what I've been paid for and what is still outstanding. They won't even reply. I have over 15 (since I started saving them)of email ads that I haven't been paid for. They claim they list our current earnings on each email they send. The past 5 email has not had my earnings. There's one in my inbox now. I don't know where else to go to get any information.

Comments: Their FAQ says that they payout upon reaching $20. So when I reached $20, I requested payment. After ignoring my emails for almost 2 months, they told me that their terms required that I have 5 referrals in order to be paid out. I have no idea whether these terms existed when I signed up - they could have beeen added recently. However, there is nothing in the FAQ about needing referrals so I think that at best it is misleading and at worst unethical.
