Date Boycotted: 06-08-2009 URL: http://www.getpaidtotry.com
GetPaidToTry claims it is a site that pays its members to try products and services.
They also state that once a member has reached a minimum of $20.00 they may request
payment stating that payments will be made within 30 days or a reasonable time after.
Alas this is not the case for all members as shown in the complaints below.
The first and main reasons for the boycott is for non payment
The second reason is the lack of support that members experience
For the reasons above, and the complaints listed below, Getpaidtotry has been boycotted!
Name: dennis Date: January 19, 2010 Comments: cancel account button on their website does nothing. unsubscribe links in emails either go to frozen pages that won't load or pretend to unsubscribe without actually removing my email from their list.
no response to customer contact link on their site, either.
Name: nelson johnson Date: September 23, 2009 Comments: I signed up for a 14-day trial of "Blogging4Dollars" through GetPaidToTry.com on August 28. They offered $19.80 for this trial. Even though I cancelled, they have not paid me or credited my account yet. Is there anything I can do about it? Please Advise.
Name: Nancy North Date: July 13, 2009 Comments: I have completed offers that I didn't get paid for. A few months ago I was less than $1.00 from the cash-out amount of $20.00 when I stopped receiving e-mails and the amount of money in my account changed to $39,982.48. My e-mails went unanswered. Thinking I may have received a credit for a completed offer, but that a mistake in the amount had been made, I had requested a pay-out in April, 2009, which was accepted, but I haven't received. Since they haven't answered my numereous e-mails, I wrote a letter to their physical address in early June, 2009, which hasn't been answered. Although my account is with *******@yahoo.com, my log-in e-mail address is *******@cox.net, my previous e-mail with GetPaidToTry. I submitted a second request for payment July 13, 2009, which was accepted, with no mention that I had already requested payment.
Name: Donna Walters Date: January 4, 2009 Comments: I notice a couple of times that my earnings had completely disappeared. So I emailed them 2X. This is one of the replys I received. (notice they are the same people who ran WoW earnings.) I later received an email that had wow earnings highlighted. Since I had complained about wow earnings, I was erased form getpaidtotry. I lost my earnings on getpaidtotry and they would not correct the problem

Thank you for your e-mail. It generally takes 48 hours for an account to get credited after an offer has been completed. If more than 48 hours has elapsed since you completed the offer and no credit has been posted to your account, please e-mail me the confirmations for those offers. With those confirmations I will be able to look into the matter and see as to why your account was not credited, and then credit you accordingly. Feel free to e-mail me with any further questions.

Name: William Krebs Date: January 2, 2009 Comments: This site really sounded good when I joined, but after completing 4 offers, I still have not been credited with any. Again, this site is a scam. Some of my offers were ones that required a $1-$5 payment to complete, so with these offers the payout was very good, if you can get credit. I even sent the welcome emails that I was sent for joining or completing the offer. Be wary, this site is a scam!!
Name: Kevin Date: March 27, 2008 Comments: Andy Gold is a thief, liar and has no people skills. When I didn't get paid, he claimed I didn't do the task right. When I retried, he said I already completed it. When I asked why I didn't get paid, he demanded I unsubscribe from his program. Soon after, the money stopped coming in. Andy's defense (paraphrased)? I've paid before, you know I'm legit. When I cashed out, it never came. My endless e-mailsw ere ignored, reassured they'd be looked into (and never followed up.) Andy then accused me of doing it only for the money, then isnisted I violated the TOS from the start (yet wasn't kicked out and was paid in the beginning?), and therefore, I was owed no money. He further lied and said the violation was joining twice, which I never did. He then insisted I owed him money. He then demanded my phone number, and when I refused, he threatened to arrest me for harassment if I contined with e-mail. He always demands either I contatc the BBB or a lawyer. Well, I did contatc the BBB. he ignored them. I even fwd their resposne of his ignoring, and he complained abotu me bothering his employees (and the whole harrassment crud.) many others share similiar stories. payment stops, no cashouts, all Andy gold cna say is sue me or complain to the BBB. I even told him I did and he ignored them, but got no resposne on that. Don't join GetPaidToTry. Andy steals your money or his won wallet, lies, and is just plain rude. Worse, his company has begun e-mailing me offers a new. SPAM people, SPAM. Not a single one fo them will pay me money as guaranteed.
Name: Carlie Lawson Date: February 6, 2008 Comments: I've been a member for more than three months. I've read and clicked on the e-mail links. I've completed a couple of paid offers on the site. I can't be paid for it though because my account has never been credited for the e-mails I've read nor for the offers completed! I reported the problem to the site's member support who did nothing. I'm dropping out of this program, but I wanted to report them before I do it.

Name: mirandah lagerquist Date: September 8, 2005 Comments: Signed up for 5 different programs. Was credited for the first 2 and paid via paypal, but never received credit (totaling $17.50)for the other 3 offers I completed. Emailed them several different times (including forwarding them confirmation emails from offers I completed) and waited maximum 30 days to allow crediting, hoping to be credited. Never received a reply email or credits.
Name: Eddie Martin Date: July 29, 2005 Comments: It took 2 months in the past to get paid for a offer I fulfilled. I again fulfilled another offer with a promise to be paid within 24 hrs. that was June 25th, 2005. I have written numerous times to no avail. I sent proof with my confirmation email, too
Name: N.C. Date: January 14, 2005 Comments: I had been a member of the site, Getpaidtotry.com for some time, but I never took up their offers to sign up for their affiliate services. They send out emails everyday with referral links to sign up to services, such as free trials of weight loss pills, AOL, Blockbuster, etc. As an incentive they give you some cash back for each offer.
Recently, just to get some extra cash, I began signing up for free trials under their referral links. But just today I got this message from the webmaster, ********@aol.com:
"hi,
please stop doing offers. they aret showing up. you will not be getting paid anymore"
I don't understand. I've been signing up under their links. They even make members go to a start up page and put in our email address for verification BEFORE signing up.
This site is a fraud. The webmaster refuses to pay and has accused me of being a dishonest member.
I advise EVERYONE to stay away!
Name: Genevieve E. Key Date: November 24, 2004 Comments: I have ask to be paid for a ad I returned on Sunday November 21, 2004 in which I was told I would be paid in hours if I completed the ad. I have written a total of 5 times now ( 2'xs today to 1st to request a reason and 2nd to respond to this "now because you are haraasing me i am delaying your payment. you know very well that by emailing 3 timews within 10 minutes is not the right approach " I did not write him 3 times today but did send an e mail both to the address I had from previous dealings and to the site it self. I am very upset by his threats. I do have copies of most of these mails.
Name: Tonya Cassell Date: November 13, 2004 Comments: Hi,
This guy owes me $32.50. He accused me of cheating him and lying to him about it. I didnot. He refuses to pay me for the work that I did for him. I have gone out of my way to appologize to him and all he says is not to e-mail him anymore. What he accuses me of is actually on my paypal bill. I'm getting charged for it.
