Boycott E-mailpaysu!

Date Boycotted: 23-05-2009
URL: http://www.e-mailpaysu.com

E-MailPaysU is a "get-paid-to" program that has been in operation more than five years; however, longevity is not always a true indicator of responsible ownership. For years, E-mailPaysU claimed to offer "targeted e-mail", in over 50 categories, to an increasing number of "double opt-in subscribers", numbers that allegedly increased from 147,000 (January 1, 2005) to 400,000 (May 29. 2006) to 600,000 (October 30, 2006). Note the 200,000 member increase from June through September, 2006, in just four months, while currently claiming to be growing "at a rate of 300 + new opt-in subscribers daily!" Also during October, 2006, E-MailPaysU claimed to "consistently rank in the top 10% most visited website each month." This is not the case, however, with Alexa's current traffic rating of E-MailPaysU.

Enticing potential subscribers with a $10 sign-up bonus, E-MailPaysU offers "paid-to-read" e-mails, rewarded monetarily or with points, the value of which "are based on the results of the advertisements." According to the TOS, points are automatically exchanged six times annually, requiring a minimum earned balance of $10 for cash-out; however, members must reach the required minimum earnings of $50 to receive their first "commission" pay-out, either by check, PayPal or E-gold. The second and subsequent payments become payable $15. "No guarantee of payment is made between E-Mail Pays U and its subscribers." The minimum age requirement is 16. In addition to "paid-to-read" e-mail, the program offers "paid-to-click" ads.

With so much to offer, and an alleged membership exceeding 600,000, why even hint at boycott? Perhaps, the member count is erroneous. Perhaps, the pay-out is set too high and takes too long to reach. Perhaps, there is too little customer/member support, as indicated by our complaints.

For the reasons above, and the complaints listed below, E-mailPaysU has been boycotted!

Comments: I have gotten payment but that was almost 2 years ago (I am a gold member) which they made a mistake and instead of paying me $87 they paid me $180 which was a good thing.. but now Mr. Peters won't even send me my login info. I would NOT recomend anyone dealing with this program. I used to think that this was one of the better programs but just like all the others, Think twice!! Do the math and protect yourselves when dealing with any ptre program!!!

Comments: I had joined the program 7 years ago but when their payouts were minimum 30$. They don't respond to our inquiry or update earnings but they have enough time to increase minimum payouts. Now they have reached at first payment of $75.00 ($50.00 for Gold Members). They pay only 1/2 a penny for reading a e-mail so how long should a member should take to get paid50/0.005=10000 clicks. If I got 6 clicks daily then I have to wait for 10000/6=1666.67. So it will take the time span in year 1666.67/365=4.56 years .If you have paid to them through PayPal to become a gold(fool) member. So in this market don't work for them. They'll never pay you even you work hard for continuous & daily basis throughout the 5 years. After five yeas when you will reach that amount the minimum payout level then the payout level might be 100$ according their rule. They will make you work for them but shall not paid. if any hard working guy win to get the minimum payouts level then their check will not sent & liability will be on postal department & in your address. So don't work for them & don't refer a friend.

Comments: Definitely a scam. They keep raising the minimum payout amount for the initial payment, it's up to $75 now. Don't waste your time with this program, you will never get paid.

Comments: I never got the check for the points program. All they had to say about it was 'we sent it to the address YOU provided, so it's not our fault." They did, and still do have my correct address.

Comments: If you refresh your earnings page while you view emails, your account gets credited only about 70% of the time. It's either a bug in their script or it's intentional. Ripoff!!!

Comments: I have been with Gerald Peters and E-mailPaysU for over 8 years and the last time that I got paid was over 2 years ago! Sadly he sounded like he actually care about his membership and I believe he did in the past. Something happened because I have gotten paid over 130 dollars in just one payment! In April 2007 I think. Sadly I had upgraded and have so many referrals it would make your head spin and that was a shame and a huge waste of my time too!

Comments: This program continues to send emails but it will not pay nor will it respond to email inquiries. The payout level has been raised several times as well. I was paid $50+ a few years ago and am now back over the $15 level to receive another payout which I doubt I'll ever see. I say this program has become a SCAM with no intentions of paying out what members are owed nor offering any communications about forthcoming payouts.

Comments: I was a member for years got paid one time ,then after cashing out again i was not paid, my earnings were gone after 6 months and emails were never answared. dump this ripoff!!!

Comments: I have surpassed my minimum payout. I have requested payout several times and nothing has come of it. It is suspicious that within daus of my requests 2 thongs happen: 1) about $2.50 is deducted from my earnings 2) I receive emails from the "owner" tryong to sell me a scam program on how to make millions a month using ClickBank. I wish that I hadn't wasted my time and money on this site! I'm wondering if there are real ways of making money on the net that doesn't involve some sort of fraud.

Comments: I have sent numerous emails ever since June 2008 inquiring about payment since my balance is over the $50 payout amount. My email inquiries have been met with silence. As a longtime member I am fed up with this program's unprofessional business practices. Ignorning and not responding in a timely fashion to any and all email inquiries is unacceptable.

Comments: requested payment 30/6/08 no payment, no reply to emails, yahoo messages and their support number is dead! it took over 5 years to rech payout with help of 250 referrals! the payout was $30 when i joined. everytime i got near it they raised it. its now $50. im not saying its a definite scam, i know some people have been paid but late payments and having no support is unaceptable

Comments: Owed over $150 and never recieved payment. Emailed owner several times and received back various excuses for nonpayment including blaming his payroll clerks and claiming 80 percent of the site members were trying to cheat him.

Comments: I paid them the $18.00 to upgrade 3 months ago and I am still not an up-graded member. Plus I have not received any of my free referals they mentioned. I also sent 2 emails to them to find out way, and no response so far.

Comments: I surpassed the payout threshold for pay with points back in January 2008. I sent an e-mail to the webmaster requesting payout. That e-mail, plus 5 more, have all gone unanswered. I don't believe this one intends to pay anymore.

Additional comment dated 2009-01-23: Have achieved the properly level for payout on the pay with points area. I have asked for the last 8 months for my payouts, but have heard nothing from owner Gerald Peters.

Name: Jared Bielby
Date: May 22, 2008
Comments: I've been a member for 7 years, I reached payout over 4 years ago, I have sent in my signed permission form (twice), have called them over a dozen times sporadically over the years, emailed "Gerald" probably close to 50 times over the last 5 years, all with the same question: Why have I not been sent payment after reaching payout? NOT ONCE have i recieved a reply, nor was their listed (on the website) phone number ever answered by person or voice mail. Over the last year I have sent two handwritten letteres via snail mail to the "headquarters" listed, and guess what? NO REPLY! Can anybody help me?

Name: Robert Matchett
Date: May 16, 2008
Comments: I paid for a gold membership and never got it. I waited a week, which is figure is long enough for them to sit on my money, and submitted a form to be refunded. The owner of the site responded with lies about paypal charging $35 in fees for refunding money, then threatened me with collection actions. When I quoted the law to him, and explained how I, an ex-collection agent, knew he was full of crap, he refunded my money, however, while doing so, very immaturely, he insults me and tries to tell me that I do not understand basic human respect. Ummmm ... respect is not taking people's money and doing nothing with it ... scam ... rude owner ...

Additional comment dated 2008-05-25: I was a member of this site. I was not given gold membership which I paid for. When I complained to paypal I was threatened with collection activity. When I informed him that a scam is a scam and I could prove he scammed me, he quickly agreed to refund my money. What is disturbing is that someone who is not as determined as I am could easily be intimidated out of their money and rights.

Name: Jeff Tollenaer

Comments: They have not paid my earnings to me despite repeated attempts, by me, to get paid. I send the signed membership agreement by snail mail and several emails over the past 2 - 3 months, but they do not acknowledge my inquiries. They owe me over $55.00. I may file a complaint with the Iowa Attorney General.

Comments: I reached payout and received a check several years ago, but now that I have reached payout and requested it again I get no response.I have requested twice with no response.
Additional comment dated 2008-04-01: I received my first payout on 10/10/2002 of $30.87 I have an upgraed account and after the first pay out we should get a pay out at $15.00 I have over $40.00 and have requested pay out about 3 times with no reply or response. I fear this one is also on the way out, not dead as he is still sending e-mails, but no payouts.

Comment: This is one of the very first paid program for which I sighned up. I upgraded , got lots of downline and got paid. I have earned the specified amount several times over and requested payout 2 or 3 times with no results. I have continued to read mails in my inbox at the site , and received regular e-mails , but no check. I have been worried that this is a waste of time and watched GPTBoycott for an indication of the status of this company. I guess it is time to give up. The downline has names & addresses of mem, bers, so maybe we should alert them by e-mails of programs we know that are honest an pay regularly. I once asked why webmaster did not delete the members who do not participate. I forgot the answer , but out of a long list there were only half that ever read the e-mails. Shame on Gerald Peters.

Comments: Site appears to have disappeared with no notice I have $32.00 earned, payout is $40.00, 10 of which is sign up bonus, however 18 was paid to upgrade No one can prevent a site getting into financial difficulties, however, often clickers can help sites through difficulties if given a chance. To just disapper without notice to me smacks of fraud.

Comments: It is is one of the the biggest scam I ever seen. They give $10 join bonus.Payout is $30.I upgraded to goldmember around a year ago=$20.My earnings total are now around $11.I was promised to get very many referrals when upgraded to gold only in some month.Maybe stand 30 referrals or something.Don't remember exact because no meaning to log in to this site and try to earn some dollars. Why have no one stop this man from working with this.IT IS A BIG SCAM.I feel pity for all people join under this site.
Lasse.

Additional comment dated 2007-05-05: I payed $20 to be a gold member and HE promised "Become a Gold Member Plus and receive 40 + referrals and the new "Get Paid to Read" t-shirt!". After around a year I have 4 referralls and earnings from them are type $0,00017!!!!! A BIG SCAM SITE.Why not in boycottlist?????????A mystery.Aliance? Comments: I had completed long back the minimum limit of USD 40 accumulated thru' various ptr emails from the above program. But once I started asking them to send my cheque they have stopped sending emails to me. This is clear cheating only, I think they are paying to Americans not INdians or other nationals. Please find out from others. The sad and funny thing is that to accumulate moret then 40 dollars the resource input may be more than 200 dollars if you consider your PCs cost, repairs, email reading time, Power cost, Your labour cost etc., They give 0.01 dollars ie 1 cents for one email read by you. It is pathtic and it is very bad after you had put in lot of efforts they do not pay u or ignores u. I will publish against this site if they do not pay.

Comments: I joined this program a while back and payout is 29.95 I got 14.20 in my account and decided I would take the FREE IQ test at tickle.com which I did I waited several weeks for the money to appear in my account which it never did so I emailed them I was told I would have to order and pay for the full report. That was not in the paid to ad. Also they advertise paying you .02 cent an e-mail and occasionaly sending you one for points. Well for the last month I have recieve 3 .02 emails to 25 2 point emails. I have 169 points in my account and the conversion to cash is .007 Thank you for a place for me to get this off my chest. Janet Wilson

Comments: this site is a scam! they keep raising their payout when alot of people get near it. it was $24.99, then raised to $29.99 and now $39.99. the payout is completely impossible to reach even with a massive downline unless you sign upto lots of offers. i only got 20c of email in a year. at this rate it will take 150 years to reach payout! the main way to earn is with the paid to click (about 2c a day)but there is no referral earnings in the ptc making the payout even more impossible to get payout. even if you did it everyday it would take almost 5 years! its true that they pay when someone eventually reach it but it is setup so that its impossible for 99.9% of members to get paid!

Comments: I joined the program over 2 years ago. I was getting emails fine for a long time, my downline was growing. But when I would look at my stats less than 1/3 of my downline were active. Suddenly I stopped getting emails from the site. When I tried to log in I found my account put on inactive, no matter what I tried nothing worked. Contacted the WM and he told me that Juno was bouncing thier emails. So I changed the address to my Yahoo address. Started getting mail again for a little while. Then they stopped again. Contacted the webmaster again as I was close to pay out. He said he didn't know why it went inactive again or why Yahoo would bounce the emails and supposedly reactivated it. When I tried to log in a couple of weeks ago it was inactivated again. Tried to go through the process of getting it going again, but never got the email to my Yahoo address. Also noticed as I was scrolling down to the log in area that the payout had been raised from 29.99 to 39.99. Last look I had I was still sitting at little over 21.00 in my account. Got so frustrated that I was actually able to delete my account. There was no problem with doing that. Which makes me wonder.

Comments: This program is a lie! Sure, they give you a 10 dollar sign up bonus but all they ever send out is paid-with-points program which takes two months to earn anything! You can only earn 3 cents or less on their paid-to-click program a day! AND you have to earn 30 dollars to get paid! That is impossible! I'm disgusted with this program. Boycott it!

Comments: Thanks S.A.Murray for sending us your comments. We will reply soon if needed. Below is what you submitted. Hi, As you may or may not know, http://www.e-mailpaysu.com decided to do a clean out of their data base, with out informing members first, this has left me and no doubt countless other with out the funds we clicked for, when I went to reactivate, the system did not recognise me, now I have had membership terminated, below is what transpired. Date: Mon, 07 Apr 2003 04:51:54 -0400 Hi Stephen , Gerald Peters here CEO of E-mail Pays U. In an effort to clean-up our data base we need all subscribers to re-activate their accounts. Rest assured your earnings will not be effected. Simply log into the members area and you will then receive a confirmation email, click the link in the confirmation email and your account will re-activated. You will not receive further paid to read email advertisements or commission payments until your account is re-activated. Thank you of help in the matter :) April 7 Me: Thanks, I wish you would tell us in advance so we can get out money, now you system doesn't recognise me at all. Another way to rip us off, thanks for nothing. One for GPTRboycott Sincerely S.A.Murray Email pays U, April 7 What are you talking about? YOU HAVE TO ENTER THE CORRECT USER NAME AND PASSWORD! Below is your information. We have made payments every payout for over 3 years. You don't remember your user name and password and you think we should be recommend to GPTRboycott? Over $7,000 checks alone went out this month alone. We asked you to reactive your account because the paid emails we sent you bounced back to us. So if it is ok with you we would like to remove the dead addresses. I have found your email to be completely rude and offensive. Our staff works hard daily to insure payments are processed and all questions are answered in an honest and fair manner and have over over 3 years. Stephen, I am going to report YOUR actions to GPTRboycott as an example of unfair treatment by subscribers to paid to read program. Date: Mon, 7 Apr 2003 18:28:17 -0400 ME: Hi, Thanks for you reply at least, thats a little more than most PTR programs, You may feel offended but PTR programs do not have a good name, they consistenly rip people off and the general Internet public are quite sick of it. It is always one excuse or another, like my server crashed and i didn't have backup or some such. Your email asked me to log in, when I did with the username and password below it did not recognise me, so a person is to think that, YES, once again he has been ripped off. So perhaps as a person who is running a PTR program you should look at the standards your colleagues have set themselves, be offened by all means, thats what it was meant to do, perhaps it is time for this industry to open their eyes and stop treating everyone as fools. That is why a program like GPTR Boycott was born. Now having said all that, if your intentions were honourable, I am sorry to offend you, however have a look at things on our side, I personaly can't count the amount I have lost from PTR's either doing the bolt or plain straight out give me the crashed server or hacker story, we are not fools, we work hard to promote you guys, lord really knows why sometimes, as well in some countries we pay for download, so it does cost us. Sincerely, Steve Murray

Comments: This program promises to pay quarterly. I reached their minimum 4 months ago and have not been able to receive payment, nor will they even reply to my emails. I think they are a fraudulent company. I had 37 people signed up also and they all report the same problems. I don't know what the process is but would like to submit a complaint. Thank You!

Name: Pat Rhoads
Date: April 2, 2003
Comments: This company has a minimum payout of $29.99. Once you reach the payout and try to log into your account, you get a message stating that your account has been terminated. When contacting the webmaster, the response is that you must have removed yourself, which is inconcievable.
