Boycott CashRead!

Date Boycotted: Before 2007
URL: http://www.cashread.com

CashRead is a paid e-mail program with a $50 sign-up bonus, between 5 and 20 dollars per e-mail, and a $500 payout minimum via PayPal or check. At the time of writing the site claims to have over 169,000 members, which would mean that the site is liable for over $8.4 million in sign up bonuses alone! The site also promises six levels of referral bonus and payment within 30 days, though the complaints which follow show this not to be the case.

The first reason that CashRead is on the boycott list is simply the non-payment of members. The complaints below detail how members who have reached the minimum payout amount are not being paid according to the site's own Terms of Service. Support e-mails have not been responded to, members have not been paid, and so this program rightly belongs on the boycott list.

The second reason CashRead is boycotted is the patent unsustainability of the site. Any site offering to pay such unrealistic sums for reading e-mails is not at all likely to pay its members. GPTBoycott urges its visitors to refer to sustanability principles when deciding which programs to be a member of. To find out more about sustainability, please visit our sustainability area. It should be clear that such business practices warrant a boycott of this site.

Other Sites with the Same Owner

After examining WHOIS records and other sources online, it is believed that the owner of CashRead also owns DollarsLove, another boycotted site.

For the reasons above, and the complaints listed below, CashRead has been boycotted!

Comments: Typical scheme to attract users and never pay out. When people see $20 per email and a $50 signup bonus, they get excited, and throw common sense to the wind. Of course this company will never pay... a $500 minimum is absolutely ridiculous, especially with the type of program they are running. Their referral rates are great..... until you realize that to get anything from your referrals, they have to reach $500 themselves. This company is a complete waste of time, but the fact that people still sign up for it demonstrates the naiive nature of many people trying to make a buck on the net. Don't be statstruck by excessive claims by these companies.... if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck, it's a duck...... the same applies for SCAM.

Comments: I noticed something odd about this program... read the stats:
  • They charge advertisers $6.95 for a paid e-mail to 300 members.
  • They pay each member a minimum of five cents for that e-mail.
  • 300 (members) x 0.05 (reward) = $15. Therefore they're working at a huge loss!
  • Furthermore, they guarantee a 50% click-thru rate.
  • Even if the minimum clicked your email, that's 150 members.
  • 150 x 0.05 = $7.50 = Still a loss!

There is no way a company can afford to be working at a loss. I believe that nobody will get paid by this company, and therefore I would call them a scam.

Name: Ron Avouris
Date: January 5, 2002
Comments: Even though they are working at a loss, this plan can still work (assuming it's not a scam), since there WILL be members joining then quitting, and the site also has other advertising incomes. Although you are almost assuredly correct about CashRead not paying when the time comes, I think maybe you're a little early to judge them.....

Name: Christopher Houlihan
Date: January 14, 2002
Comments: The reason that they do what they do is that after a while members quit and they lose all their earnings, but if you stay in the program you will make money.

Comments: Being new into the read mail, surf the internet, etc programs this is a little bit scary.I read the comments but then I send comments that caused me to not want to deleted my account and give it a try I just will not advertise for them like I had planned on doing until I learn more!!

Comments: I agree it looks dodgy but they also send unpaid emails (3 plus per email - also, if you have recruited say, 10 people & they recruit 10 each etc - (not impossible - I have well over 2000 in IPTL) they should reach their $500 a few days /weeks after you do. I think it's a wait-and-see. It didn't cost to join. They're the real rip-offs! new

Comments: This program has a whopping $500 minimum to cash out. They pay you for referrals once they have cashed out. They send an E-mail every day worth $.08. It is 4 paid searches which I am assuming they collect on. Do the math, no one but CashRead is going to get paid!

Name: Lorelle

Comments: Minimum payout $500! Referral bonus will only get paid into your account when they pay out. Says 0.05c to $20 per email. I only ever received searces worth 0.08c. Impossible to reach payout level!

Comments: Cash Read sends emails on a regular basis.more than I can say for some PTR programs ..from which I Never hear from. I will NOT delte my account, because I am reading emails anyway. IF THEY DO PAY it will be worth it..if not, so be it. Most of these PTR programs are going to disappear anyway before pay out, so its no bigger risk then any other.Thank you. I say stick with them! I may even promote! HAPPY 4th to all!

Comments: It's never too late..... !!
Hallo! Please reserve this important date in my life: July 31st 2013.
You're all invited to my CashRead-Party. In facts on this date I should redeem my 500.00 US$ in EGold from this Organization... if.... if.... if the guy is still alive, if CashRead is still existing (of which I'm not so sure :-)) ), and if I'm still alive (nobody knows...).
You can eventually send me Your EmailAdress, and after sending my invitation, I'll pay 0.001 US$ (in EGolad obviously) to every Party Comer
From April 17th 2002 until today I've earned 10.00 US$ (with the help of a fantastical downline, 2 poor Europeans like myself). Do the calculation by Yourself (500-50-10=440 - it means 44x3 months=132 - it means again 132/12= 11 Years).
I wrote "It's never too late..!" What for? To admit, that I'm a poor fellow....
Unsubscribe today..... But do it! And spend your time with your wife... it's much better.

Comments: CashRead is only one example. There are tons of programs out there with 100-500 bucks payout amount.
It is more than obvious that Minimum payouts of $100, $200 etc will never have even 1 member payed.
First reason is that till the time the poor member manages to collect these amounts with fraction of cents, he/she will not be in this life anymore :-) (This applies for CashRead with a $500 minimum payout that they have, or Read2BeRich with $400, or even Jays with $350, despite the fact of 10-20 cents per day potential that he has)
Second and main reason is that when a team of grand-fathers and grand-mothers who had that remarkable patience to click for all those years arrive at the so wished moment of payout, Jay and the others will never find the hundreds of thousands of bucks !!!!! Advertising fees are payed at the moment of purchase and the members should be paid in a month or maximum 3 months interval if we are talking of a healthy business and not a fraud.
So I suggest to check the cashout minimum before subscribing to any GPTR program

Comments: I never get those $500, but i read in the faq that I can send a paid e-mail when I have $60 in my account. 3000 mails: $30 When I reached the $60 I send them a mail that I reached it and want to send a paid mail to 3000. And what do you thing ? THEY DID IT ! clicktru of 60% and they said that when I earned another $10 I can send another paid email to 1000. cost $10. OK I earned $10 and send them again the mail that I have earned enough to send to 1000. and what do you think.... THEY DID IT AGAIN. there is something good about cashread. btw thx to cashread I have a downline of 105 in my paidtoclick program

Comments: Yeah but you have to wait a YEAR or 2 before you can get 60 bux to send the mail. Remember... its all about needing money, for everyone who signs up for cashread, even the owner of cashread is probibly a money hungry fool, just like you and I. I am an active member in over 10 downline programs, and still, today, i have never received 1 dime from any of them. In fact, I have over 60 people in my cashread downline. Not getting paid for any of them like they said I would upon signup. So they are actually making more money then who knows how much. And the funny thing is, they take your money from you, as soon as you make it (marketing for 10 bux)... thats stupid.. go to a warez site, download an opt-in emailer, search engine submitter & ranker, and a FFA submitter, and then you have it made. FFA = how I got my downline built. I dunno we will see if I ever get a check.

Comments: I must say...I have joined cashread, snail-mails, money2 read and richmails. And I have only been a memeber with all of them less than a year. The only one I have had a bad experience with is snail-mails. I have received small checks with the rest already, for a total of $3000 in all. I am not calling anyone a liar, but those of you have had a bad experience...did you do more than just refer people? All I do is refer people, actually review (even if I wouldn't other wise be interested on the links I am provided.) At first I wasn't receiving much links, but after I started actually keeping up with the mail I was sent, I got more mail.

(I do think that they are alittle misleading for people who don't throughly read all the facts and who are just looking to make easy qucik money-without doing something other than getting others to sign-up!before they sign-up ) The only program I see as a scam is snail mails.

Comments: Some of these programmes will never pay out as the rates may be too low or the cash-out rate to high, as with Cashread. They are, however, good for advertising as it means that you don't have to get your credit card out and go into debt for it. I am a member of Jayspaidmail and after earning a certain amount, I was able to pay, out of my earnings, for advertising which I would not have been able to afford, and the end result was very much worth it. In Australia, because of the state of the $AUS it costs just about double, and the amounts are always in $US. If a programme will pay for my advertising, then I'm all for it.

Comments: I think it is a good program. Someone here said they only send one .08 email every day, but I have received several that are worth .12 each. I have been a member for a month and my total is now $68.48, so even if it takes a couple years to get the $500, it's free money, and it doesnt take that long to click on the emails, so I say it's worth it! Seems like everyone wants QUICK money. Have patience everyone!!!

Comments: Well Just like to say as for the 1st comment. The guy is over 18 and isnt selling it on ebay. He does sell 3000 paid emails etc on ebay though. Iv been a member for less than a year and my current acount is $72.6610. And iv havent clicked on about 100 emails. They pay you more than $0.08 per email too. But the more you read emails the more money you get from reading emails. so far im earning $0.12 per email. So im happy with that. in about no more than 2 years i should have the $500. The only thing that concerns me is getting payment by check. You have to pay $3 to have a check sent to you but do you have that deducted from your account? or do you have to send cashread it in the post?? Anyone answer my questions or has had a payout from cashread b4? email me BanginHardcore@Hotmail.com cheers

Comments: Eveyone, I dont care if you think your going to reach payout in less than 9 years. Do the math. It took me a year to get $50.00 clicking on every single link sent to me. Now average about $50.00 a year and figure out how many years it will take to reach payout. 9 years!!! It will take you 9 years to reach payout!! I own 2 paid to read programs myself and would NEVER do this to my members. That is not fair to anyone, I dont care how nice the payout sounds, not to judge, but who knows if you will even get paid if you do stay all 9 years. I know I feel ripped off!

Comments: Hey everyone cashread is not a rip off i am recieving 100 paid emails that are worth 12 cents to $5.00 per email without referrals. also i got paid by cheque last year. as soon as i buy a digital camera for my computer i will put my cheque on here to show proof that cashread is the #1 paid to read site.

Comments: Sean...lets see your cheque from Cashread? did you actually get paid $500? Am sure were all waiting to see the cheque, show that they do pay! NOTE! everyone, am very buffled as all of you seem to believe cashread will pay you $500? common get your act together don't stay with a program that won't pay you ALL YOU are doing is making them rich. SEARCH LINKS, am sure they get paid, with over 100K members, say 5000 make a search per day! Those of who are stubborn, I wish you all the best and hope each and everyone of you get paid $500. as for me, am not wasting my time. Other Paid to read companies have a modest lower payout but they actually PAY YOU!

Cashread is one program im staying with for now...im gonna see if Sean did actually get a cheque...if he did then i'll stay with em Recently tho I have recieved any paid emails tho off em :S Sam

Comments: I see all this bad talk about Cashread, well I get 3 to 4 emails daily from them each one totals to 12cents earned per email, plus usually there is on email that is a solo worth 5cents to 2 dollars once a day. I have been with them with 2 affiliates for 5 months now and have 98 dollars earned so far. I go into my account once a week and click on the pay2 banners and check on my balances. This seems to be the secret for them if you log in at least once a week to your account they will send you more emails as being a very active member if you just sit back and just click the one email a day stuff they will just send you them at that rate. They only send serious clicks to those who show they are serious! So you have to work it to get it seems to be with them.

Name: elvisdo
Date: September 5, 2003
Comments: I've noticed that as well. The more links you click, the more e-mails they send to you. I get on average between 5-6 e-mails from them a day. Plus when I do the PTC section everyday I'm almost making $1/day more or less. I think they really check to see who is really active a reward them slowly like this. Yes $500 is a lot to grasp but I see it as an investment. For now I'll see how well thsi continues. As for DollarsLove, I've noticed, unlike CashRead, that you start earning referral money once your referral has reached $1, so yes it's probably easier to attain the $200 at their sister site.

Comments: I used to get 4-5 emails a day from Cashread but they stopped sending me email after I have accumulated over $100. I tried to contact them but never get a reply. So all my previous efforts was for nothing. I guess this is their trick: if they find out you are earning fast, then they just stop sending you email so you will never get $500 unless you go to the paid-to-click site, and spend pretty much the rest of your life trying to get that $500.

Comments: You all make good points about cashread, though some seem to be a little onesided. I will hang out and see what happens they do pay better then most per click. and where I have noticed several sites closing. They are still around and still stable. You can count on there mails daily and Ptc section is usually full also. And every body says they are working at a loss???? this is not even close to correct.Even at simple savings account intrest rates, with the time frame they have you can bet that they are running atleast a 3% or better proffit rate.

But your referrals will never qualify, because their referrals must also qualify and their referrals must qualify for them to qualify, etc. It never ends, It's a carch 22 and no one ever gets paid! I had over 500 referrals in this program and never got a bounus from any of them. Three were people I know personally, that signed up under each other, yet they never showed up in anyones stats. Comments: They have basically stopped sending me emails. I get about 1 a month now, for a total of about 10 cents. And the latest one was a link to a pay-to-get-info scam. It takes so little time now (less than a minute per month) that I probably won't waste the time to go and quit.
