1-800-Mail is a primarily a paid e-mail program, offering e-mails worth 5, 10, 15 or 20 cents, a $20 signup bonus, an "easy to reach" $125 payout minimum and a five level referral structure. The site's Terms notes that after redemption "we will issue payment to you within 90 days or a reasonable time after" - a claim which, as can be seen from our complaints below, is not true.
The first reason 1-800-Mail is boycotted is the non-payment of its members. Despite their claim to pay honest members, it is clear from the complaints below that this site does not pay at all, and has no intention of paying its members in the future. The gravity of this problem is furthered if the site's claim to have over 124,000 members (at the time of writing) is true.
The second reason 1-800-Mail is boycotted is the patent unsustainability of the site. Any site offering to pay such unrealistic sums for reading e-mails is not at all likely to pay its members. GPTBoycott urges its visitors to refer to sustanability principles when deciding which programs to be a member of. To find out more about sustainability, please visit our sustainability area. It should be clear that any program which offers to sell an 5 cent e-mail to over 124,000 members for just $9.99 must have no intention of paying its members. It should also be clear that such business practices warrant a boycott of this site.

They keep sending me emails saying that I've won $400 and to claim my money. When I tried to, they said that I would have to be a member of their gold club! There is no such thing! Now they're sending messages saying that for $9.05, I'll get a automatic payout in 5 seconds! This is a scam bucket! Why should I have to pay money to get money? Besides, the agreement said that as a free member, I would get my money on cashout free! What a scam!

I never received a response. I have written several times and the last one time I wrote, I informed them that I would report them as non-paying. The next time I tried to logon to my account they had deleted me. I have never received any payments from them nor a response, they just deleted my account.

Name: Joanne M. Date: April 22, 2005 Comments: When I joined this program, they had a $100 payout to free members. As I reached my $100 level, the site was changed to reflect a $125 payout.
I reaced this level about three weeks ago. When I tried to redeem my earnings, the site said I was only eligible to purchase an ad for that amount! This is not what is reflected on the site! I've tried to contact the owner several times, and just tonight again, with a warning that I would be reporting him to Paypal and his hosting company for being a scam program.
Will have to wait and see if he contacts me by tomorrows cut-off date that I gave him. I highly doubt that I will hear from him.
These crooks have to be stopped!
