There are many reasons why, if you feel you have been scammed by a get-paid program, you should submit a complaint at GPTBoycott. This article attempts to explain some, but not all, of the reasons why so many people choose to submit a complaint to GPTBoycott.
The first reason, and perhaps the most obvious, is the opportunity to help others. When we receive ten complaints about a program, we consider that site for the boycott list. The staff at the site privately discuss the program and its complaints, and in the absence of reasons preventing us from boycotting the site, that site will usually be boycotted. Once a site is boycotted, it appears on our boycott list, which is linked from almost every page at the GPTBoycott site, and is syndicated to a number of other sites. This will help spread the fact that the fraudulent program is one which other members should avoid. In addition, many paid e-mail sites refuse to accept advertisements for boycotted sites.
The second reason, is that the only way we can boycott a program is if we receive ten complaints received through our submission form. E-mails, forum posts, and other forms of communication are not taken into account. It is therefore vitally important that members use the submission form wherever possible to submit their complaints.
The third reason is that once a program receives five complaints, it is automatically added to our watch list (http://www.gptboycott.com/watch/). This is another way in which we expose those sites which we receive a high number of complaints about. The sites on the watch list have not been boycotted, but are listed for our visitor's convenience, since they have received a significant number of complaints. Your complaints are thus reflected in our watch list automatically.
The fourth reason is in question form: why not submit a complaint? It only takes two minutes, and can make a significant difference to our visitors. The ease of submitting a complaint is probably why we have received over 6,000 complaints for over 2,000 different programs. Just a couple of minutes of your time may save our visitors several hours of wasted time, and a significant amount of wasted money. The complaint submission process is very simple, and we are always available to answer any questions you may have.
The fifth reason, but by no means the least significant, concentrates on the consequences of us not receiving any complaints. If we receive no complaints, we can take no action! The work we do benefits honest members, site owners and advertisers. Unless we receive your complaints, we cannot continue this important work. I therefore urge that if you feel you have been wronged by a get-paid program, you should submit a complaint!
