Article: Paid To Read - If It Sounds Too Good...

You are surfing the internet looking for ways to earn online. You come across a link for a site offering Paid To Read Email - Earn Big Money!. You think to yourself wow! I can do this. Earn easy money by receiving emails and clicking links.

Well the truth is there are a few honest Paid to Read Opportunities, but most are not what they promise. Many are Paid To Search Sites or Scams. Paid to Search Sites are sites which lure you in and promise you lots of emails and earnings to click on search ads. You must follow through with searching or these sites take your earnings and call you a cheat. When in reality they are cheating the search engine advertisers out of thousands of dollars luring in unsuspecting clickers with the promise of earning lots of money.

Most of these sites pay, but quickly close up once the search engines have figured out there con and then move on to another site. If you are fortunate to be paid it is due to you just helped a scammer earn a ton of money while he gave you a pittance for your time helping him scam.

The other type of PTR site to avoid is the one which promises high paying emails and a high payout. The old saying of, "If it looks to good to be true, It most likely is", applies here. There is no PTR program that will pay you $100 per email. Do the math. Check their advertising pricing. What are they selling an email to all for? Most times you will find that there is no way they can afford to pay $100 to each member for clicking on an ad when they are charging $1 for an email to 5000 members.

There are though many honest sites out there struggling in the industry to prove that Paid To Read can be a viable advertising medium for those who are looking to market to select groups. PTR can provide a viable solution to branding your product or site, a way to get new traffic to your site or to promote a new product. It is most likely not the best place to sell high priced items, but if you sell on ebay, have a product you make and sell from home, or are looking to promote affiliate products, then PTR can be a good place with reasonable prices to market you products.

Paid To Read is most likely not for you if you are seeking a get rich scheme, but if you are looking for some interesting products, free advertising, free offers, even a bit of fun and games then take a dabble and get your feet wet. Try out some good sites.

Do some homework before signing up for a site. Check out a few forums, Ask a friend, Write the program owner of the site. If the owner responds back with a friendly, courteous email with your questions answered then you most likely have found a site you might have interest in. But beware of promises of high payout and large sums of money.
